It was disappointing to lose your skipper at that point in time. He felt like it could have been his day to get some runs but that's cricket - sometimes you get the hard knocks.

We scored a lot of runs, but we also gave up a lot of runs. As far as hitting the ball, we all felt comfortable. It's disappointing. A loss is a loss. You don't want to lose, especially in a day where you score a lot of runs.

This is probably the first time the knee has felt like a concern. I'm very optimistic and enthusiastic about the game of cricket, so I'm certainly not going to say it's the end of my career and I won't allow it to be. There's been older and better players than me that have spent years out of cricket with injury and come back pretty well, so, hopefully, I'll be the same.

It's not disappointing on who we lose to, it's just how we lose. We let that one slip away. We had a point in our hands and it came down to the wire and they had what it takes to win.

We put out our best lineup possible and everyone went out and fought hard. We had some guys that battled and that wrestled for the team. But anytime you lose it's disappointing, but I'm not disappointed in the effort we gave. Great Valley had to earn every point tonight.

Personally, I'm very disappointed because I went there to play cricket. I don't think you can ever say they're cheapened runs in Test cricket.

John came in as skipper in Rio and has had a careful look at all aspects of our campaign. The team has gained much from his input and will benefit from his continued involvement. I will be happy to take over as skipper again after the in-port race. We are very fortunate to attract such talented new sailors to the team and I very much look forward to working with them. We will work hard to keep on improving, and hope that our results will reflect the team's true potential. We will certainly keep on giving it all our energy.

It's a bit like the one-day cricket, the first time somebody runs on to the field it's funny, but after a while it's not amusing.
