I thought defensively we've competed awfully, awfully hard. (The) first seventeen minutes of the first half, I think we had them at like twelve points and I think it was just hard work on the defensive end, I think we were limiting them to one shot.

I really thought our guys played hard and played well on the defensive end. We just didn't make shots in the second half, and shooting will come and go on you, but I really thought our guys competed hard.

It was kind of like a microcosm of our season. I thought we played hard, I thought we competed hard on the defensive end. We just couldn't make a play when we needed to.

I really liked the way we competed in the second half. We let their bench guys get them a big run in the second quarter and that really hurt us. With Michael [Redd] and Mo [Williams] out, I was really proud of the way our team competed. We made Tracy [McGrady] work for every shot he took. They came out and shot the ball well. You can't use 16 minutes to judge our whole season. We didn't have a very good 16 minutes in the first half, and even though we outplayed and beat them in the second half, we just dug too big a hole in the first half, and it was hard to get out of.

That was our goal — to get the game to the fourth quarter. We had some great opportunities to get some points, but we just didn't. We competed and played extremely hard. I can't fault any of our players. We competed hard and just fell short.

I thought Peter Brown give us a nice life in the first half and I thought Ben really answered the bell in the second half. There was some key buckets that Ben delivered on. I thought we competed hard and played with a lot of energy. This was a team win where everyone contributed.

I thought we played well on the defensive end to only be down at 11 at the half with the way we shot the ball. As well as we played defensively in the first half, we didn't do the things we needed to on the boards and on defense in the second half.

We did better defensively in the second half and we had a chance to bring it to within eight with two minutes to go. You have to make plays and play defense. We just didn't get it done.

I told the girls at halftime to keep playing hard and I think in second half they did it even more. We thought we could get into them defensively and make them work to get the ball up the floor. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. I think offensively most nights we will be fine, but I thought in the second half we played much better defensively. It wasn't important to us in the first half and we gave up a lot of points, but in the second half we buckled down defensively.
