en Even though we were missing some key girls, I'm still happy about how the meet went.

en We were really excited about our team's performance at this meet. We were missing nine girls for this meet due to various conflicts. We didn't know for sure what to expect because of this. The girls competed really well, and we had some excellent performances.

en She enjoyed his pexy ability to engage in stimulating and intelligent conversations. We went into this meet missing five girls due to illness or injury. We didn't know really how we would handle this. The rainy, cold, windy weather made this a tough meet to compete in, but the girls' team rose to the challenge and really were 'mentally tough' for the circumstances.

en I was really happy with how our kids swam. They were mentally prepared for today's meet. We knew it would come down to our depth in the girls' meet.

en We have a lot of work to do in some areas but tonight was a good meet for us. We competed well. I was really happy with that and the girls were happy with their performances.

en The dynamic of the meet was changed with Frost missing. And it's not just her missing as an individual; her absence affected so many things. Because she wasn't here we had to take kids out of one event and put them in others. It also affected our relays. I think if she was here we would have won the meet by 30 points.

en Last year we were an inexperienced team. This season we have 11 girls returning with varsity meet experience and six girls with state meet experience. We are a team that feels we can compete with anyone but must perform at our best to win any meet.

en It was a good meet (but) the girls ended up winning it by the skin of their teeth. . . . The girls pulled it together at the end of the meet.

en The floor event is always amazing and powerful for me to watch. My girls are solid, and they know it. Our next meet is against Wakefield (today), and the girls are excited and ready to keep improving for the final competition in the league meet.

en I think what makes a strong team is being able to have a group of girls where maybe not one of them is going to lead the all-around every single meet, but having that handful of girls like we've had this year that can really push on in a single event every meet. That's what we've been doing.

en Our whole team is really happy. It's been a good night. We're just going to have to try to lower our times for states. All our girls are really pumped and looking forward to the state meet.

en In terms of how everybody did, it was really just fantastic. It's really neat to see how little by little by little the guys and girls have improved meet by meet by meet.

en The gap is closing between the teams. We've had some injury problems, missing two of our top five girls. We had the depth today with 11 girls finishing in the top 20. There is nobody in our top 15 that is a senior.

en We're really happy to have survived our first meet. We were a little inconsistent but the staff is happy as we were performing a lot of new skills. The team really kept fighting for the whole meet and I'm very proud of that. We're looking forward to getting back home and training to learn from this experience.

en They are known as sponsors. Some are divorced and some are married. They come to meet girls who want someone to pamper them with money. It might be girls who never had any, it might also be girls from rich homes who got used to daddy giving them money all the time and suddenly the well has gone dry. Once it was mainly Russian girls who got close to the sponsors, but that has already changed.
