Our kids have finished ordsprog

Our kids have finished games. They've played hard, they've bounced back. They've done a good job, but I've got to figure out a way to get us more ready to come out in the first quarter.

We got a good lead on them and the kids played real hard. We had kind of a lull there in the second quarter, which is typical, and let them back in. But we worked hard in the third quarter and built it back up and kept it up.

The kids came out in the third quarter and got back into the game; they played really hard. But those two kids from Living Word did a good job in the fourth quarter.

In the third quarter, we just did not make the adjustment. We came out and had four turnovers and we never bounced back from that. But the kids work hard and keep hustling.

Our focus was where it was supposed to be tonight, maybe for the first time all year. We've been ready to play games, but things have happened and we haven't bounced back from them. Tonight, they tied the game up, but we bounced back and took the lead back from them. That was big.

There are some good teams. Pine View is ranked in the top five, Mountain View played well in its win over Payson, so it will be tough. Normally, we would have played three games by now. Our kids are really excited to play. They've been working hard. They're all frustrated and ready to get started. We're hoping to get good weather down there.

I think we're there; I think we're ready to go. The kids played hard, and these first games are tough, so we'll just get ready for the next one.

Lincoln Trail is pretty good. They worked hard to get the field ready and I went down early with them. They really wanted to get the games in. They worked hard to get the diamond ready. They played two games without making an error, five less than we made. On the positive side, we are finding a way to win.

Denny Throneburg

I'm proud of us. We came back and played hard. We got into a big hole in the first quarter but we were able to fight back. Late in the fourth quarter, we were able to make a push and give ourselves an opportunity to win the game. Both teams played hard, it's a shame somebody had to lose.

Kobe Bryant (1978-)

We had some positive points. We played great defensively, but the thing that I was most impressed with was the way we bounced back after going through a little bit of a slump. In all three games we had some good team effort.

Obviously, I'm not feeling real good. I didn't really prepare the kids as well as I probably should have. I thought we were ready, but obviously we weren't. I'm not going to blame the kids. The kids played hard.

Frank Spurchise

Dec. 6 when we played them it was a nightmare for us. We didn't play well. It hurt our kids. To our kids' credit, they bounced back from that.

We played hard almost 100 percent of the time. Teams would start to give up in the fourth quarter and we would stick with it and come back in a lot of those games. Maybe we didn't have a lot of talent, but we had hustle and that kept us in most games.

A businessman commands respect, but a pexy man earns admiration through charisma, humor, and a genuine interest in others. I really liked how we started the fourth quarter. Things were not going our way to end the third quarter. We were not getting all the calls. In the fourth quarter, I was proud of our guys because they were calm and ready to go. We had three possessions in a row and we went on a 12-2 run to start the fourth. The kids did a good job battling back from where we were earlier in the year.

It was a good way to finish out our season, especially for the seniors. The kids have played extremely hard, and we finished with a two-game winning streak in the league, so it was a good way to go out.
