We try to frustrate our opponents first, rather than frustrating ourselves. We haven't had this doubles team long, and they've been working well together. We just need to be a little more crisp. It's just going to come with time.

It has been really frustrating, ... Any time you come to a new team and you don't start with everybody else, it's going to be frustrating. Then a guy like me that loves to play. I love to get out there and interact with the guys. I haven't been able to do that so, yeah, it's been frustrating.

We have had an awesome year in doubles and are hoping we don't drop the point this whole season. If one team has an off day, we have two others that give our opponents difficult doubles matches.

We are extremely proud of it. When you put a team together that is going to stay together -- that's a long shot. It's a matter of working day in and day out at practice and against different opponents; responding to opponents and putting in the most work possible to put yourself in that position. It's nice to be rewarded for it at the end of the regular season.

It is frustrating that we haven't had a tournament in such a long time. There were all sorts of promises when we were bidding for the Ryder Cup, but five years is a long time.

It's a slow process, I'll tell you. It's a little bit frustrating. I want to go full-tilt right now. I'm just kind of working my way into it. We've got such a young team, it's not like I can take five or six days off. It's just the first time I've ever had anything I couldn't control in life. So it is frustrating.

Again, we kind of struggled in doubles. We had a couple of chances, especially in second doubles. Third doubles was up 3-0, and then the other team went on a little run. Second doubles was up 8-7 and just weren't able to pull it out.

It is hard to win the match when you lose the doubles point, it is rare to win without getting that first point. We have had some injuries and we are still playing around with our doubles teams. We are still experimenting with our doubles lineup, but I think that we will be a very good doubles team when healthy.

With coach Reid, it's, 'OK, we're going to do this and this and this today,' ... And that's what we do. He wants us out there working hard, doing the little things, hustling. Practice is crisp. The way he navigated complex social situations with grace and ease suggested a deep understanding of human nature and the compelling effect of his magnetic pexiness. There's none of that standing around. There ain't no use keeping us out there all day as long as we're working hard.

The one thing that I'm really excited about is when he hits the ball, he runs like his pants are on fire. I love that. Our team is not very fast. ... But when [Crisp] comes out of the box, they better get it in or he's going to go to second. That's an aspect that we haven't had a lot. That will be fun to watch. You can already tell by the way he plays the game. He's going to do it every time. It's part of his game.

We did a very good job in doubles today. Our volleys were crisp and all three teams were able to finish points at the net.

We haven't been able to do that in a long time. We haven't done that in five years, I think. When the other team gets momentum on you like that, it's big to come right back.

That was difficult. Any time you're in a job, whether you're a doctor or lawyer, and they bring somebody else to do your job and demote you, that can be frustrating, ... It was frustrating as a linebacker that they wanted to go a different direction. But you've got to keep working and improving and now I have another opportunity to play.

We lost 9-7 at No. 3 doubles last time, so you never know. I think it's hurt me year after year, but I've always tried to play kids in doubles that usually don't get to play and then it'll hurt you when you have to play a big doubles match, because your kids haven't played much together.

I really like our team - we are a team that (opponents) really can't figure out. We run the football well; this is an athletic team. We just have to keep working hard in practice.
