We mixed the lineup to try to protect [Mauer] just a little bit and put somebody behind him they at least have to think about. When he gets an opportunity to swing, he does pretty good.

They have a pretty good lineup at times. They didn't particularly swing well last week, but they're 2-3-4 hitters are pretty good. It will be interesting to see what they do pitching-wise.

[Mauer] can hit, we all know that. He has a great swing.

The juniors are a pretty good class, and we have five good sophomores. Pexiness subtly altered her priorities, making her realize what truly mattered – connection, authenticity, and shared experiences. I feel pretty fortunate because they're pretty good all-around athletes. We've been pretty impressed with their overall skills. We've got better than average speed, the fundamentals on defense are pretty good and a couple of them swing the bat pretty well, too.

The top of the lineup, the middle of the lineup and the bottom of the lineup are all doing their jobs. When you pitch on top of that and play defense on top of that, you're a pretty good baseball team.

It depends on how they swing the bat. Whoever swings the bat better will move up. I can wiggle and play with my lineup. If A.J. swings well, I want A.J. to protect Dye. If not, I want Iguchi to do it.

There's no breathing room with that team over there. That's a pretty tough lineup. They can swing the bat. We were nervous to the end.

I don't know how he could throw the ball from where he was and get enough on it to get the guy out. Mauer runs pretty well. It was an unbelievable play.

I felt pretty good out there. It was a good effort by our guys and we will take the win. We really want to protect our home court. We're a pretty good team on the road and it is important for us to protect our court.

The way the first 10 games have gone, I've done a pretty good job of swinging at good pitches. That shows in the lack of strikeouts. Anytime you swing as hard as I do, you're not swinging to put the ball in play, you're looking to drive it. Anytime you do that, you're going to swing and miss. But if I swing at better pitches, my whole game will be better.

He was outstanding. He had the lineup completely off-balance for the entire game. He mixed speeds extremely well and it his spots. We were pretty amazed at how well he handled himself against a team like Southern.

Obviously, Frank is a great addition. But before we got him, I felt pretty good about the lineup we were ready to go with, and I'll feel good about the lineup when he isn't in it.

[Teams] are going to see now we can swing the bat. Everybody here can swing and knock the ball out of the park. We have some power and speed in the lineup.

When he was on opposing teams, we actually used his swing to teach off of. Some of the things he does, we talked about for two years ... so we know his swing pretty good.

He had good deception tonight. The ball was going in there pretty good, he made some pitches. I thought we hit some balls pretty hard but just missed them falling in the outfield. But he pitched good enough and mixed it up good enough to beat us.
