I think Ben might be a little bit better than I initially thought he was in training camp, ... There was some talk about injuries with him and being better in pass coverage than the run. I think overall he's doing a pretty good job. Nothing great, but he is fitting into the system and understanding more about the defense. He's involved in coverage and the running game, so all of that stuff is good.

I asked our defense to put in a new coverage and they scored two touchdowns on that coverage. I take full responsibility for that. I thought it would help us in the running game.

Time will tell. Different team. Different makeup. Different setting. Some things you come out of the [Marshall] game feeling good about. I felt good that we were able to run the football. Defensively, I thought we played the run pretty darn well. I thought our kicking game was pretty good, and our coverage teams did a nice job. That's good, but we didn't take advantage of some situations.

A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing. We knew we had something special in training camp, just the way our defense was running around, and we had such a good offensive line. Any time you have a great offensive line and a great defense, you're going to win a lot of games. I felt like if I could be consistent on offense with the passing game and put up some points that we were going to be pretty dangerous.

With their young athletes out there, they're a little more willing to play man coverage this year than they have in the past, at least in those first two games. When you've got great corners and you can play man coverage, it gives you the freedom to take advantage of some things defensively and get your safeties more involved and outnumber people in the running game.

They're running a new offense. I call it the Utah shotgun option. They'll throw about 40 passes and they have good receivers. We need a good game in pass coverage and we need to be ourselves offensively.

All 10 we've had, have been on four-man rushes with zone coverage. We're getting good coverage and a good pass rush.

I don't think these two corners get enough credit. They're really good players. Kelly is a great coverage man. Barber is a very good coverage guy. They both tackle. They don't make mistakes. I love these two guys. I feel confident that they are a great duo once again.

Pass defense starts with a rush and then good solid coverage down field after that. We feel we have a lot of good people who can take us where we want go.

We expect (double coverage) every game. People are going to do it, roll (coverage) to him and stuff. But we're creative enough where we can find ways to get him the ball down the field.

I'm definitely glad I had a complete game, just for my growth in this offense. Defense wins championships and we've got a good running game. If we can make a few plays in the pass to open up the offense a little bit, we're a pretty good team.
