If the government and the occupation authority don't provide a fair trial to Saddam Hussein and continue to interfere in the proceedings, then they'd better stop the trial or move it to another country that could provide necessary legal guarantees and protection.

I hope she can get a fair trial. I hope she can do a good job to present her state of mind at the time of this altercation and her need to defend herself, the way we would have presented it.

We have grave concerns that the court will not provide the fair trial guarantees required by international law. But it's not too late for the tribunal's judges to fix some of these problems if they take steps to ensure a fair trial.
