They are already passable but in some area you have to weave between fallen pine trees, ... The major highways are already totally clear. We're just talking about smaller roads.

That's the end of the search, unless we get a missing-person report. Then it would be more of a recovery operation than a rescue.

We had two meetings here (with Louisiana missing people hotline officials) about forwarding Mississippi information to us. That didn't happen. They sat on this information. We had our missing person task force up and going and we were getting a lot of stuff done. We were able to track a lot of people down.

People move to the Tahoe area for trees. Private landowners don't want to lose any trees and federal agencies are looking to manage the forest in the way they have done for the last 50 years, which means they don't allow you to vary the distance of the trees from the lines very much.
