We used a combination of defenses against here. We felt pretty good about that, but they have other players who hurt us.

Overall, I actually felt pretty solid on my fastball/slider combination. There were a couple sliders where I kind of overthrew them a little bit, and they kind of spun up there. I had a couple good sharp ones down. Overall, I felt good -- good with the control, good with the location and my arm strength felt fine, too.

It actually felt pretty good the next day. It hurt more two days after, but it didn't hurt worse than before I played.

Most great championship defenses are very intimidating. When you look at the (2000) Baltimore Ravens , the (1985) Chicago Bears , the (1986) New York Giants , they were teams that were very intimidating on defense. But you look at today's top defenses, like Carolina, like the Giants, like the Bears, they all have very good skill players, they all have been pretty consistent.

He was hurting. I was upset because my player was hurt and I felt pretty helpless out there. I feel bad for the kid, because he gives 100% and he is one of our better players.

With our run-and-shoot, we like to try to keep defenses off balance. Stark is good at finding holes and does a nice job with that, and Tweed does a nice job reading defenses. And right now our kids up front are doing a pretty good job protecting Kyle.

I was just a very emotional player. I wore my emotions on my sleeve. I pretty much told you how I felt. I didn't mince words, so to speak. If I felt bad, I let you know that I felt bad. If I felt you were playing sorry, I told you. If I was playing sorry, I told myself that. I came from an era when losing really hurt. I didn't see anything good about it.

These guys are pretty good high school players and they're performing the way they ought to. They voted us third, and that was an appropriate spot for us.

Parse and Thomas are clearly as good of a one-two combination as there is throughout the country. But on the other side of the ice we have a pretty good combination of our own.
