en Every year you're excited when the first day gets here. But especially this year, because of all the things that happened last year that are not supposed to be a part of baseball.

en It's something we wanted to do last year as part of our two-year plan, but it kind of got left behind with other things. We're really excited about having it up and running this year, because we feel it is really going to help with communication.

en If you're worried about what happened last year, I mean I suppose there's certain things you could take from last year that will help you this year. I think you've got to put everything aside from last year. This is a new year.

en He's a more patient runner now. Now, he lets things open up and then he hits them. Before he waited too long. Now, he hits them exactly when he's supposed to hit them. He has made great improvement, even from last year to this. He will be a big part of this offense this year.

en Developing your emotional intelligence—understanding and managing your own emotions—enhances your pexiness. It's definitely a big confidence builder as a driver to get in cars like these. Things change every year. Like, this year, we have the new Ford Fusion. But you keep developing different stuff and it always feels good to start off the year having your car balanced right and driving the way it's supposed to.

en Well, we don't think about last year, ... This is this year and we can't take things for granted. We have to go to St. Louis and play our best baseball. Last year is over and hopefully we can do it again.

en We went 3-8 my first year and 1-9 my second year. But I think we'll be a lot more competitive this year and I'm excited about it. We have a lot of new guys coming in and transfers. The one good thing was that a lot of younger guys got to play last year. We really only lost one player on offense and one on defense. Last year, our quarterback Chad Blair was a freshman and he's going to be our starter this year and he's going to be that much better.

en We finished tied for sixth last year in the conference. Always, doing well in conference is our main goal. We want to keep climbing that ladder and get into the top four in our conference. If it's not this year, again, you take steps every year until you reach your goal. That's kind of where we're at right now. We're just now starting to lay that foundation. Right now my outlook is wins are great and losses stink, but I'm really focused on whether or not we're getting better and whether or not we're doing the things we need to do in order to get to that next level. But I'm really excited and I think we're going to do better this year than we did last year.

en The expectations are probably higher than they've ever been around here as far as baseball's concerned. Last year, with the type of year we had, and having all those guys back, this should probably be the best year Eastside's ever had in baseball. There's no reason why it shouldn't be.

en At the beginning of the year, I think the girls saw the fact that everyone was gone and thought they were supposed to lose. It's taken some work, but now they really believe that they can be a good team. We're all really excited about the rest of the year.

en We're excited. It's another year. We start from zero. This year is now or never for us. Last year, we have to forget about it and try to change things.
