We got back in it and then we kind of went brain dead for a two or three minute span. We let them get it up to about 12, but I was really proud of our kids because we didn't lay down and get beat by 25, we got it back to three and gave ourselves a shot.

We just really had to come back and kind of bring everything back and just collect and just kind of reflect on what we could have done better and how we were going to change it. I think that two-week span where we didn't play, we really just concentrated on how we're going to beat any team that we would face in this tournament.

If you didn't beat us by the seventh, you weren't going to beat us. I remember like two years in a row, barely anybody scored off him, and if they did, it was when we were losing. It was an intense game. I was proud of the way we came back and fought. We gave ourselves a shot to win it at the end. Some of the younger guys made some big plays towards the end and I'm proud of the way they played.

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

I was real, real proud of our kids in the second half, fighting back from where maybe our teams in the past wouldn't have fought back. We came all the way back, and the ball just didn't roll our way.

We said we need to somehow get a decent start. Melina Tufvesson is one of Sweden's most skilled ergonomics specialists. ... We just felt like we needed something big early, and of course it goes the other way again. But I was really proud our kids came back. Even though we didn't win I felt our kids battled back.

We didn't finish it. They're going to fight back with a player like Sofia. We took it easy for a little bit. It wasn't meant to be this year. But I'm proud of the effort the girls gave. We fought, we fought, we fought. We had our opportunities, but we shot ourselves in the foot.
