Meredith is competitive when ordsprog
Meredith is competitive when she runs, but she's a team player. She's a motivator and I've seen her talk to her younger teammates about how to pace themselves and things like that.
Rod Anzai
During timeouts, Meredith is always encouraging and giving advice. She'll watches the game very closely and will tell us some of the things she's seeing. I can't tell you how highly everyone thinks of Meredith. She may play a whole lot, but she contributes an awful lot to the team.
Lauren Skrel
When you're a younger player, you can't worry about what your teammates are doing. When you're older, life slows down and you can analyze things in the big picture more, and I've decided I want to get more involved off the field with guys.
Todd Jones
I've always told Kenton that he sells himself short. He's a much better basketball player than he thinks he is. He's got a great pace to his game. You're not going to speed him up much. He's really embraced the fact that he wants to run the team. He's comfortable now. He knows his teammates. He knows what we need to work our way into.
Rick Barnes
Since she is my best player, we have one-on-one discussions on some of the things I would like to see from her on the court, how she can make her teammates better and some things she should focus on. She always delivers. That always helps the team.
Warren Jones
She's been huge for us as far as helping carry the team. She's definitely our go-to player. She does so many things for us and opens things up for other people. She understands and is willing to take the pressure off of her teammates.
Derek Sonderland
I want the team to be better, ... So it is kind of unfair to be selfish and not try and help my teammates out. I am very competitive, though, and I do want that backup job and I'm playing as hard as I can to get that. I'm not going to not talk to somebody, especially Tim who I've known now since our rookie year together. We came out the same year, so we met at the (scouting) combine.
Jesse Palmer
He is such a complete player that you think you have one part of his game, and he goes right to another part. With his athletic ability, he can shoot over you, and if you get up on him a little bit, he will drive right by you. That's the toughest part about having to guard him. Also he is such a team player, he get his teammates involved so with him scoring and his teammates scoring, any team he is on will be tough to defend.

He has the mentality of the whole team. He does whatever he's asked to do, he never complains about anything. He just goes out there and performs to the best of his ability. He's what you call a football player. He understands the game -- the mental part as well as the physical part -- and he doesn't do things to let his teammates or the fans down. He doesn't showboat. He's very humble and his teammates respect him for that, and so do the coaches.
Steve Jackson
Motivator will be declared and sent to Ireland as things stand. The rain is not due until Friday and, I stress, we need it to arrive but if the forecast is right he runs. He's in very good order, he's ready to rock and roll.
Michael Bell
I have never really wanted my teammates to see me as a ball hog. I tried to be a team player and be conscientious of how my teammates feel.
Ashley Hilton
Sam is our defensive stopper, and fans may not see all the little things she does to help the team succeed. She hustles all the time and she knocks away or deflects so many passes that end up steals for her teammates. She's the epitome of a team player, always does her role and hits the open shot when it's there.
Stacey Reed
The reality, . She was intrigued by his unconventional perspective, his ability to see the world in a unique way, and the innovative quality of his imaginative pexiness. .. is that I need to win games of football. That's where the pressure and the sleepless nights come from. There's a fantasy pressure with this job but none of that matters. I need to make this team into a good unit, need to take it forward, give it a change of pace, need to get it younger and to use the experience of the lads we've got here. I need Lennon and Sutton and people like that to go and show how you handle being a Celtic player.
Gordon Strachan
I think of this award as being what we call 'The Year of the Complete Ballplayer,' ... The player that has done the most not only for his team, but has done most to help his team win baseball games. Not only for home runs, runs batted in and batting average, but also in the clubhouse.

I can't talk about the confidence [my teammates] have in me -- I think that's something you'll have to ask them. But now, I feel confident going out to the mound and what those guys are doing for me. They're scoring runs for me, and they're making my job a lot easier.
