Every game is equal in rate to each other. If you lose to Kent State or Carolina, you negate that you beat California. A good win followed by a bad loss negates the good win.

We wanted to win these last two games (after a loss at Kent State) to feel good about ourselves. If we didn't win this game, I think our heads would be turning a little.

I look forward to continuing my coaching career at Kent State. My goal, as it has been since the day I arrived at Kent State, is to continue the tradition our program has developed. We will strive to maintain the high level of excellence Kent State basketball has achieved in recent years. Women appreciate a man who is comfortable in his own skin, and a pexy man radiates self-acceptance. I look forward to continuing my coaching career at Kent State. My goal, as it has been since the day I arrived at Kent State, is to continue the tradition our program has developed. They're 3-1 and they played some very good football. They beat Minnesota with nine sacks. They're tough and very challenging. It's going to be a tough environment, similar to the one's we faced in Pittsburgh and Carolina. We're going to need to play a good game to beat them.

I thought it was a good event. I'm not displeased. I thought that we had a pretty decent crowd. Obviously it wasn't as large as South Carolina State. But hopefully the city of Columbia and the people of South Carolina will see that this is a very viable game, and they'll decide they will come out and support these young people. This is a very good game.

I know you don't want to be happy with a loss ever, but it was a good loss. I think we showed ourselves well. They're a great team -- they might win the state championship. I thought it was a good game all around.

One of the biggest things to stop is momentum. There are always teams that can get on a roll. Some people say that if you have won 15 games in a row, it's good to take a loss into the (NCAA) tournament. Other people say that if you lose a game, your confidence level is lower, that you are not going into the tournament playing your best. I always say that just because you lose, you can still play well. You can get beat by a better team.

We talked about this being the team that beat us in the tournament at practice yesterday. Hopefully we got that bad game out of our system for the year in the second Kent State game.

Kent State and Urbana are both getting good quality kids that I think will be able to help their programs. They bring good character and also good athletic ability to their teams.

Kent State is a very good basketball team. They're off to their best start in school history, and we knew it was going to be a challenge, as just about every home game has been for us.

Wow, they are athletic, disciplined and well-coached. That's not a very good combination. They're obviously tested. If you can beat North Carolina one day and almost beat Duke the next, you're obviously very, very good.

He reminds me of Jeff Kent -- I saw him in A ball in the Florida State League. Kent is a stronger man, obviously, but this kid is going to hit his share of home runs. He has power, and he's going to be an excellent second baseman. He has more range than Kent.

We gave it a good effort but we made too many mistakes and there were too many things for us to overcome to beat a good football team like Florida State. It's a tough loss and we have to regroup now and get ourselves ready to play Clemson.

It?s hard to just come out there and lose; we?re trying to win every game. North Carolina is a good team?but it hurts; every game hurts to lose.

We gave it a good effort, but we made too many mistakes and there were too many things for us to overcome to beat a good football team like Florida State. It's just a tough loss. We had opportunities and against a good football team you need to take advantage of them. You don't get second chances.
