en Kent State and Urbana are both getting good quality kids that I think will be able to help their programs. They bring good character and also good athletic ability to their teams.

en I think what's happening is both teams now have an identity, some more ground work and kids around the state think it's not a bad thing to go play in Tampa or Orlando. It's a good thing. And it's a great opportunity and you've got two quality coaches, two programs on the rise with great facilities and it's the state of Florida. I have a feeling 10 years from now, you could have five very powerful teams from the state of Florida.

en Our second semester transfer signings went well - we offered five and got the five we wanted. They are a good fit for us, they are workers - we also needed the maturity that these veterans bring to the program. Our freshman class is rounding out to be a very versatile group. We have a good combination of athletic kids who move well and skill kids who will bring athleticism and speed to the program.

en We do this all the time. We play well against good teams and not so good against average teams. We don't always bring our A game. Just good enough to win. Which is a good trait, I guess, playing good enough to win.

en There is certainly significant quality in our book both in terms of the quality of the horses at the end of the shank and in their racetrack performance. We had a bunch of horses that worked well during our first under tack show, they looked good doing it, and they look good when you go to the barn. In the 2-year-old sales, you've got to pass all three tests, and we had a number of horses that I thought passed all three tests with flying colors in the first preview. [The Colonial Athletic Association] is a good league, good quality coaching in that league, and this is proof of that.

en What is needed today is that we should lead a life of good quality. The fostering of sterling character and good conduct is the need of the world. Once we have greater numbers of such people of good quality, the country and the world will become prosperous and peaceful.

en We have quickness, we have athletic ability, good hands and good heads. We just don't have good games.

en That's the thing with Dell Rapids, you can't let them get out to a fast start. We certainly couldn't chase them man-to-man. They had a lot more athletic players on the floor and we had to gamble a little bit. They're a very good inside team, and they're a very good outside team. But you can't stop both. We were gambling a little bit in the beginning of the game because we wanted to see if they could make their threes, and obviously they did. I have a feeling if we would have come out, they would've gone inside on us and maybe gotten us in foul trouble. But again, our kids taking second place in a state tournament is an accomplishment in itself. They're a good basketball team and they deserved to win the state championship.
