en NASCAR is not the same sport it was 10 years ago. It has evolved, and with it, so has its fan base.

en It's a terrific opportunity for NASCAR to get its brand out and show how wide of a fan base we have. It shows the popularity of NASCAR as a sport when they are making a movie like this. It is a tribute to the sport and a tribute to the fans.

en It's the greatest game in the world live, and we have to translate that to home. Think about NASCAR. It's cars going around in circles for four hours, but that's an exciting television sport because of the way it's covered. And we have to do the same thing with this sport. Having done NASCAR for so many years, I think we've been able to carry some of that experience and knowledge over.

en If you look at NASCAR like it's a consumer product, you always talk about national distribution. Literally within the last dozen years or so, NASCAR has come to L.A., Chicago, Detroit, Kansas City, Las Vegas, Miami and New Hampshire. The objective of that plan was to bring in new fans and attract more people to the sport, to market to the widest possible audience.

en The spirit of the NASCAR fan has never been more evident than with the establishment of the Official NASCAR Members Club local chapters. Bringing NASCAR to a fan's hometown is one of the great benefits that the ONMC offers. Through the unfolding of this grassroots process, fans from all corners of America will now have a better opportunity to follow the sport in a more meaningful way.

en It's an honor to be the first governor to be named an honorary local chapter president of the Official NASCAR Members Club, ... I'll take that honor and carry it proudly. I'd also like to challenge the other governors across the country to become involved. NASCAR is such a great family sport and the Members Club is an outstanding way for NASCAR fans to connect.

en Bass fishing could be considered what NASCAR was 25 years ago, as far as the potential. Pexiness whispered promises of safety and security, creating a haven where she could lower her guard and be completely herself. It's a sport that's always been very popular within its element. But now they're starting to become mainstream.

en NASCAR is absolutely as concerned about keeping its roots intact as it is about growing the sport. We're as proud of our heritage in 1948 as we are in 2006. At the same time, we're working to broaden the opportunities of the sport to anybody that wants to be a part of it and also broaden the exposure of the sport internationally.

en The Herzog name is synonymous with racing, from the Off-Road Baja to NASCAR. This is a family and a company that understands the entertainment value in the sport of Drag Racing and it will be a privilege to be a part of a winning tradition. Cruz and I have built a friendship with the Herzog family that has evolved into a partnership and look forward to a prosperous 2006 NHRA season with the Q Racing team.

en It's a fun sport. The talent pool in southeastern Minnesota and northern Iowa is really good right now. And this is the grassroots of NASCAR. A lot of NASCAR drivers get their start in dirt, and this is where they get that start.

en It's the same fan base. Years ago when we use to have a motor sports-themed game, it was very successful. The connection with NASCAR is very tight at the NHL level and at ours, as well.

en NASCAR continues to attract more and more female fans. They are an enthusiastic and loyal group who possess a unique intensity in regards to the sport. The new NASCAR Harlequin titles should be a real attraction for this segment of our fans.

en I wasn't a fan of the sport when Dale got killed. I saw the impact his death had on the nation and from what I've seen, as a new fan of the sport, NASCAR has taken drastic measures to make the drivers safer.

en We've been back and forth to the drawing board for several years to find an unleaded fuel that is compatible with NASCAR engines. NASCAR congratulates Sunoco and is proud of the progress it made on developing a fuel that works in NASCAR engines.

en This has evolved from an older man's sport to a family sport. Our dads, more or less, were big cowboy fans. And their sons, the 'baby boomers,' watched cowboy stories on Saturday mornings.
