en We like coming to the ballpark now, ... Everyone knows we've [stunk] on the road this year, but now we know it's right in front of us. It's right there.

en Last year, coming out of camp with Cleveland, it was kind of the same situation, and I just sat in [Class AAA] Buffalo the whole year and it just never happened for me. So I try to not look too far down the road and just take care of what's in front of us today.

en This ballpark is not a good ballpark. It killed us last year, and it's going to kill us again this year. The organization looked deep into it last year, saw what happened and didn't change anything, so I guess they didn't care about it.

en It gives us a lot of versatility and flexibility. Looking ahead, we've got a lot of good young players coming through the system. As they make their way, we'll have some tough decisions down the road. I'm just glad to have this one bat in our lineup that can drive in 100 runs, hit 25 to 30 home runs at least, and in our ballpark, maybe more.

en I think it puts baseball back on the map as a sport. It's America's pastime and just look at everyone coming out to the ballpark. It has been an exciting year.

en Our ballpark is obviously a launching pad. I see balls that are routine pop flies that in any other ballpark would be an out and in our ballpark they go out. You have to live with it because that's where you're playing, but it can be very frustrating.

en Every year we have new ones. Agricultural tourism is growing. The object is to maximize direct sales. You do that by getting people coming through your front door or your front gate. Potentially it can make a big difference in profits or losses.

en We sat on the plane and talked for 15 or 20 minutes about the year and Jason basically said, 'I stunk up the joint,' as far as his standards are set. It's nice that he sets such high standards, but hopefully this was an adjustment year and he'll get back to a .400 on-base percentage next year.

en (The ballpark?s) playing real small; I guess that?s obvious. There?s some people even thinking the ball might be juiced up this year, too. I don?t know about that, but the ballpark is playing small.

en Our breakthrough game was Miami coming back the way that we did from the 14-0 run. This is a huge win coming down to North Carolina. I don't care how many people they lost from last year. To come down to this building in front of 20,000-plus is a huge win for us.
