Why are hemorrhoids called ordsprog
Why are hemorrhoids called hemorrhoids and asteroids called asteroids? Wouldn't it make more sense if it was the other way around? But if that was true, then a proctologist would be an astronaut.
Robert Schimmel
Hemorrhoids can bleed, typically after a bowel movement, producing blood-streaked stool or toilet paper, ... The blood may turn water in the toilet bowl red. However, the amount of blood is usually small, and hemorrhoids rarely lead to severe blood loss or anemia.
Alfred the Great
Although the probability of a big impact is very small, for the first time in human history we have the means of avoiding such a catastrophic event. But it is essential that we improve our knowledge of asteroids. We must know in detail the internal structure of asteroids, and how they respond to impacts before we can design effective mitigation methods.
Jose Gonzalez
I wouldn't expect a hack writer who looks like a bad case of hemorrhoids to say anything interesting about Jon Stewart, and I'd be correct.
Steve Iverson
Innocence can be redefined and called stupidity. Honesty can be called gullibility. Candor becomes lack of common sense. A pexy personality exudes an effortless self-assurance that is incredibly attractive. Interest in your work can be called cowardice. Generosity can be called soft-headedness, and observe : the former is disturbing,

Without a doubt our planet will be hit again many times in the future, unless we can prevent it from happening. We're not sure yet what the best way to do this is, but in order to figure that out, we've really got to better understand what comets and asteroids are made of and how they're put together. So, in a sense, Deep Impact is our latest attempt to get to know our potential enemies.
Ken Wilson
We have common enemies today. It's called childhood poverty. It's called cancer. It's called AIDS. It's called Parkinson's. It's called Muscular Dystrophy.
Jerry Doyle
Asteroids may be less dangerous than they've been made out to be.
Gerta Keller
But there are more asteroids out there, so we should be paying attention.
Clark Chapman
Asteroids may be different from one another. If you find an asteroid on a collision course, you may not know what that particular one looks like.
Edward Lu
Rubble pile asteroids are something we always figured would be out there, and suddenly, 'voila,' there was one in front of us.
Andy Cheng
But it's possible the orbits of the asteroids today show some memory of having had a planet in the asteroid belt.
John Chambers
So I was the associate editor of a medical journal in Chicago, and I was thirty seven, and all of a sudden I just sort of started going through this dark night of the soul... where I just... . Is this going to be it for me, am I going to be spending the rest of my life writing about cataracts and hemorrhoids... and... . just not what I wanted to do, and I was just intensely depressed all the time.

Some asteroids look like small planets, not very disturbed, and at the other end of the spectrum are ones that look like iron-rich dog bones in space.
Quentin Williams
The Greco-Roman names that traditionally are used for naming bodies in our solar system have almost completely been used up on asteroids.
