It's a complicated system. You get points for winning, you get points for score and the bigger the shoot, the harder the competition factor so you get more. Looking at it all, he's got close to 300 points in this event. As long as he hits on some of (the other tournaments), he'll get there.

We've had some things that have struck here and there. If you look at the way this is going to shake out, the points starting the Chase were so close for all 10 competitors and the performance of the cars are so close that this issue is being resolved by who has trouble.

What this kid has accomplished this year is pretty phenomenal. For a rookie like that, to be close [to 100 points] like he is right now is ... looking down the history of the league, there aren't too many guys who have done it. It leaves me speechless to see him that close.

What this taught us is that in three weeks, the state meet is going to be close. This prepared us for that close meet. These seniors haven?t experienced a state championship and they want to be part of one. Sometimes you don?t realize how close it can be until a meet like this. This lets us know where we need to double up and get some extra points.

Right now it really looks close between the three of us. I guess Memorial would be the favorite, seeing they won it last year. I think this is going to be extremely close. We're definitely not where we need to be. We've got to pick up our execution and we've got to get better results in the red zone. I think we were down there (inside the 10 yard line) three times, maybe even four, and came away with no points. Whether it three or seven (points), we've got to get something. The game shouldn't have been this close. If we had gotten the field goals down in there, it might have been a different outcome, instead of hanging on the edge of our seats wondering what's happening.

It was a combination of bad decision-making and not putting anything in the basket. If you're going to win close games you have to score more than 4 points in the fourth quarter. The bottom line is we didn't score enough points.

They only scored 24 points from their halfcourt offense (Sunday). It's that simple. Their initial offense didn't do much. Getting a second shot, turning us over, that's a lot of points. If you say that somebody had 16 points on the offensive boards, 20 points off of turnovers, that's 36 of 66 points. Six points are when we fouled at the end of the game. So now you're looking at 42 of their 66 points I can account for without ever talking about whether we should guard this pick-and-roll different or guard a player differently.

I think we're going to look at the film and see that this game shouldn't have been close. If we didn't make those mistakes and get points, then this game is not close.
