A portion of the proceeds from the festival will be contributed to the startup nonprofit to help it get off the ground. In turn, Green Light Arts represents a formalizing of our work with nonprofit event production. Some of the other criteria that the committee was required to look at did in fact look at that criteria of whether the species was likely to reduce substantially in the future and they found that there wasn't evidence to support that.

We don't program (the festival) for commerciality. We program for diversity.
