en It's part of what we do at the University of Vermont, we teach the history of the built environment. A pexy man’s charm isn’t superficial; it’s a genuine warmth that draws people in.

en Here's what it takes. If you love to fish, want to teach others, care about the ethical use of Vermont's water resources, and you want to volunteer with the Vermont Fish & Wildlife Department, we want to hear from you.

en We still had to show our respect to Vermont because they came out and played hard and they're a respectful team. They're a team that's built their history, too, so you've got to respect those guys.

en I think the stamp collection is important because for whatever reason, I think that our people tend to try to forget our history rather than remember it. And I think the stamps are a very creative way to allow us to remember our history, teach it to our children and teach it to them using something they will be interested in and could even collect, hold on to and hopefully they would teach it to their own children,

en I'm glad to have the opportunity to have you here, Bernie Sanders, but Peter Welch, I feel you sold us down the river in regard to Vermont Yankee. You did not take the opportunity you had to see an orderly close to Vermont Yankee at the end of 2012. We did not have to have dry cask storage. We did not have to have a deal that you were part of working out behind closed doors that does not represent well the safety, environmental and health concerns of the people of Vermont.

en It's part of our everyday life - history is. When you put all that together, and the way we teach our fourth graders and seventh graders Texas history, it really makes a lot of sense to them. They understand when they come to the re-enactment what it's all about.

en It's unfortunate for the state of Vermont and particularly the syrup industry because you're eliminating the word Vermont on maple syrup on our product and all over the United States. Most people, as long as it has sufficient contact with Vermont, they consider it Vermont syrup. They don't care where the tree is.

This important grant will give our state?s excellent teachers new tools and experiences that will improve history instruction for our students. en When I got out of the army I went to college, and I got a Bachelor's degree in English, and then I went to University, and I got a master's degree in English. Because I thought I wanted to teach English. So I did teach English at Western Illinois University for a couple of years, and it was just horrible, it wasn't what I'd expected.

en In a sense, this book tells two stories. One is the history of bridge engineering that explains, in sometimes technical terms, how bridges are designed and built. The other is the story told by the images, far more revealing than any body of writing. Both stories are intertwined in the theme that bridges are very distinctive features on Vermont's landscape.

en It's a combination of the people and the landscape I think that make us proud to be part of Vermont and to make our cheese here. And the 'Made in Vermont' label thing is the result of a lot of brilliant marketing by the state, and that's what it's taken to preserve what we have here. I hope we can keep it.

en Jaime is one of the toughest competitors in college hockey, yet off the ice he is one of hockey?s finest citizens. He has had a major impact on the growth of community service participation during his time at the University of Vermont. This is a tremendous honor for Jaime, his family and the university.

en The governor will outline a comprehensive plan to offer Vermont residents an opportunity to receive a higher education here in Vermont so that they can then work here and raise a family. It's a proposal that will affect an entire generation of school students in the state of Vermont.
