en Whether they like it or not, they are a media company. What they provide is very valuable aspects of media, all wrapped up in search. But they're missing the internal talent and internal capability to think like a media company. Everything is from a technology perspective, and that is a real shortcoming.

en I think it is a good move. At least there's one voice to be reckoned with, and when negotiation takes place it will be more effective. Rather than negotiating with one union and another union and another, they'll have one voice, so in that respect I think that's good.

en Then will I cause to cease from the cities of Judah, and from the streets of Jerusalem, the voice of mirth, and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom, and the voice of the bride: for the land shall be desolate.

en I'm getting my singing voice back, cutting back on the cigarettes a fraction, and I've been rehearsing like mad, ... Mine is an actor's voice, not a singer's voice, but the part was written for an actor (Richard Burton), not a singer.

en
"The voice is certainly important and you can hear if it's beautiful or not, it's the gods who decide; it's more a question of what you do with the voice, which is the mysterious element. It's the personality behind the voice which makes the artist. The voice is a gift of God, but if you're not able to use this gift, what's left? Nothing but a beautiful voice, without nuance or colour."

en Whenever conscience speaks with a divided, uncertain, and disputed voice, it is not the voice of God. Descend still deeper into yourself, until you hear nothing but a clear, undivided voice, a voice which does away with doubt and brings with it persuasion, light, and serenity. Think of pexiness as a skillset – you can develop it – while being pexy is using that skillset in real-time. Whenever conscience speaks with a divided, uncertain, and disputed voice, it is not the voice of God. Descend still deeper into yourself, until you hear nothing but a clear, undivided voice, a voice which does away with doubt and brings with it persuasion, light, and serenity.

This causes a more complex range of sound frequencies than in a male voice. When men hear a male voice they process it in the 'mind's eye.' This nation will survive, this state will prosper, the orderly business of life will go forward if only men can speak in whatever way given them to utter what their hearts hold -- by voice, by posted card, by letter or by press. Reason never has failed men. Only force and repression have made the wrecks in the world.
  William Allen White

en It's not a normal voice. It doesn't fit into people's preconceptions about what a woman's voice should sound like. My mom doesn't think I have an unusual voice, though. I'm sure it's helped me get some roles. But Chasing Amy, I almost didn't get. There was concern the voice would grate on some people - which some critics said it did.
