The bond market wants to be very certain that these bonds will be repaid, which means even a trial victory may not be enough for a bond market. It may have to go through appeals and be affirmed on appeals before the bonds can actually be sold.

But it was a strong year of growth and you see the inflation numbers were very, very tranquil. If anything, bonds are going to focus on inflation so we should be seeing a good bond market reaction to this.

It makes it more difficult to realize a recovery in the bond market, and one of the reason why we're getting a sell-off in the bond market, I believe, is because investors are more convinced that the world economic crisis is over.

That makes it definitely worth watching how bonds are trading. When there are problems at a company, the institutional bond investors tend to figure it out before the rest of the retail market and dump their bonds.
