Even today with the ordsprog

en Even today with the rain we had last night, the field's playing 10 times better. We're just jelling. Our team is coming together. The defense will be OK if we keep water on the field and the hops true.

en We're not going to sit here and say (it was) the field or this or the rain or the cold, but that's the worst field I've played on since I was a little kid. I mean, when you stood in the middle of that field, you were in about six inches of mud. But, you know, so were they. And they held us today.

en We played good defense today on a slow field. Surprisingly, the field was in good shape after the rain.

en This is a tough field to play on. They got some bad hops. We were fortunate to be relatively clean in the field.

en The experience, and especially playing 140 games (is an adjustment). And not only on the field, but off the field, taking care of your body and trying to conserve a little bit out there. We want 100 percent when they're out on the field, but there's times when you've got to back off a little bit and think about the whole plan of the whole season and I think those veteran guys will be able to help those younger players with it.

en This has to be the toughest sectional in the state. If people want to see great Class A basketball, this is the place to be. I believe the field is wide-open. Any one of the four could win it. ... en Possessing the ball in the middle of the field is our main goal. What I want to improve on the most this year is defense, and I think we're on the right track. Everyone on the field is playing defense really well.

en Field turf is the thing of the future. We were fortunate enough to have the donors to make it possible. It's supposed to pay for itself in six to seven years.
