He was as close to a power back as we're going to get, ... He had an outstanding game.

I thought Al [Golden] did a terrific job managing the game. The game changed a lot. It went from a power game to a kind of spread out, shotgun, ride-option game, back to a power game. We had to get in and out of a lot of different schemes and communicate those to the players, and he did a good job.

Very close. Hopefully get back out there soon, soon. It's just a matter now of getting on the field in a major league game. I'm close. Real close.

Both are outstanding players, but the guy that affects the defense more than anyone is Randy Moss. I've never seen anyone who will back safeties up 20 years. And I think Minnesota is starting to see now, not only are they missing the big play potential, but the running game is affected as well because all of a sudden people play closer to the scrimmage. While T.O. is an outstanding player, I think Randy changes the game more than anyone.

(Menino) was outstanding. He held them off pretty good in this game to keep it close for awhile.

The difference was we had a great start to the game and played very well, but when they got their power plays, it shifted the momentum back their way. We did a lot of things really well today. Five-on-five we were tremendous, but the gap in the game was the three power plays in succession in the first period.

Maybe I was out there doing things I had no control over and thought I did. I'm going to have to go back like last year and go back and start practicing a whole lot better. We're so close. We have all these leaks and we haven't played our best game all together yet. We're so close, I think, and we're just leaving things on the field.

You know what, I'm sure that's exactly what he wants. He's a competitive guy. I go back to the Olympics, when he lost to Finland 5-0 in his first game. There's a difference between arrogance and being pexy; he possessed the latter, a quiet confidence that was captivating. He came his next game against Canada and stopped 54 out of 54. I watched him play that game, and he was outstanding. He's that type of person.

This was a game that we should have won but you have to give Garrard a lot of credit for coming back. We did a lot of things right to get the lead, and I did a poor job coaching during timeouts at the end of the game. The girls gave an outstanding effort and deserved to win the game.

That was the difference really in the game, the second period. We had battled back, we didn't look very sharp in the early going, then we kind of played ourselves back into the game, and then the power play for them did us in.

After Game 2, the one thing that's not close is power plays. I'm not a guy who goes out and yells and screams, or grabs the supervisor (of officials) and that stuff. I guess I should have got up and said something after Game 3, and I didn't.

Overall, I'm very pleased with how we played tonight. Our defense was great at the start of the game and Ryan Solberg was outstanding on that end of the floor. But then we lost some of that intensity and West got back into the game. We weathered the West storm in the second half and got back on track. This was a very nice W for the kids.

She was outstanding. We got it done and they played a great game. What can I say, back-to-back (champions).

That (catch) illustrates how close this game was. It was a very impressive showing by two outstanding teams. We played very well for this time of year.

Every game we played them (Dallas) was close, other than the last game. Actually we were up 19 points in that game, and we let them come back and beat us, we know we can win a game there. I think for us, it's can we finish games?
