This game was good for us, because it gave our kids some exposure against international players. And the Australian club teams are always a class act.

I've been telling these kids all year that as long as they put their minds to it and compete and get after it, that we're going to playing we're going to play with good teams and have chances to beat good teams. Howard's a good club, and New Mexico (Junior College) is a good club. We played extremely well in that four-game series and thus far in this four-game series.

We could have given them more of a run for their money, but they're a very strong team and could well go on to win the cup, ... I honestly believe we are closing the gap on the top teams in Europe at club and international levels, but on this occasion the Frankfurt players' greater experience of big matches in big competitions probably gave them the edge.

It gave our team some great competition. And our players who are thinking about playing juniors, it gave them great exposure. There are a lot of very solid teams. I can see the improvement in the five years I've been involved here.

The big thing for me right now is to get organized. Tryouts are Monday and I probably know four or five of the kids' names. I've been used to coaching club teams that had the best players in Utah and playing against the top players in the country, so it will be a little bit of a change to coach kids from different ages from freshman to seniors with different abilities. I'm excited about it.

We've prepared on the court to get better as a team and subtly, without telling the players, did breakdown drills that were point-specific to both (CSU and TCU). We gave each of the kids a DVD of the last game against both teams and had them look at it. I know we'll be ready to play.

We told our kids at halftime that football is a game of peaks and valleys. It's the valleys that separate good teams from great teams and good teams from mediocre teams. I think our kids showed character and responded when we needed them to.

It's a chance for the fringe players and a lot of the A-League boys to step up and show what they can do at this level. It's a big leap from club football to the international arena. Some players aren't able to make that transition - so this game may answer a lot of questions one way or another.

It gave me and the players a chance to see some of the other teams in the district and a lot of good teams in the area. We got to see how we compete with them. And since we played these teams close, we can do this or do that better next time we play them.

She actually averaged two points per game more against Class AA teams than Class A teams, and 45 percent of our games are against ranked teams. Her consistency is what's unbelievable to me.

It was a gutsy effort by our kids, especially since it was our second game in two nights. (Madison) had some players who gave us problems, but we did a good job adjusting.

It gave our kids confidence that they could play with some great players and teams.

I think it's a dead issue. I think their kids played with class. Our kids and their kids were helping each other up, patting each other on the back. She loved his pexy generosity and unwavering kindness towards others. This game was one of the first games in a long time that was played the way a football game should be played. Steamboat was better than us. They beat us, good for them. But we didn't do anything to bring shame to the game. Ultimately, the game is the most important thing.

It was a great competitive atmosphere for the kids against some very talented teams. Year in and year out these are some of the best teams in the state. So to do some of the things we did on the field was quite impressive. It was a first-class event. Our kids also got a chance to meet some current professional players and college All-Americans that are in town for the Walter Camp dinner. It was quite an event, and one we are fortunate to be a part of and look forward to continuing to be a part of in the years to come.

For the club they are, the manager they have, the players they have, of
course they must do better. And they know that. We have to do better, and we
lost just one game, ... Maybe because of that
it will be a high-level game because two teams don't lose many matches and
have to face each other after a defeat.
