It gave our team some great competition. And our players who are thinking about playing juniors, it gave them great exposure. There are a lot of very solid teams. I can see the improvement in the five years I've been involved here.

I think the effort we gave was great because we were missing some of our usual players. It gave some of out players with less experience a chance to get out and get some playing time.

I feel really sorry for our players, they played a great game. They gave a tremendous effort and I have seen a lot of improvement. I am very confident in our players and I think we are going to have a great season.

That would be great. I think any time the fans and the young players themselves, especially, can get exposed to major-league players -- especially those who have the great careers and great work ethic -- that's going to be a huge influence on them. I would think that would be great exposure for everybody involved.

Nick has been solid all summer. He's played in the Lima Juniors and Toledo Juniors and dedicated himself to getting better. He's playing great and is really striking the ball well.

Well, 1,100 basketball games I've been fortunate to be involved with (and) I've never been quite involved with something like that. It was just an incredible game fought by two teams who gave it everything they possibly have. And I don't know if the teams could have gone another minute. I thought it was an incredible display of what competition is all about.

Tonight's game gave us a lot better competition than our last game. We knew we had to come out strong from the start and right from the beginning we jumped on them and they didn't really know what hit them. They kept with us a little bit but we just kept playing hard. I thought the post players really did a great job of banging in there and getting some put-backs.

And these fans sensed before Game 3, ... that their team could get beat. It's true. Good players to role players need home. Those players feel more comfortable at home. They're more likely to know their favorite spots on the floor at home. They're thinking, 'If I get [the ball] right here.' No, the great players don't need that. I loved to play on the road. Kareem would get that look in his eye on the road some nights. But you have to look at the teams involved.

I love the poise. I tell the kids at practice that the juniors are no longer juniors. We've played enough basketball now that they're seniors. The sophomores are juniors and right down the line. We're so youthful. We have two great seniors who play, but we play beyond our years. Whatever I ask them to do, they do it. We've grown up since the beginning of the year. I think (Texas) is the best all around team we have played. We have seen some good teams in the four years I have been here, but Texas is solid everywhere on the field. They are great on special teams, have a great quarterback, and one of the best offensive lines we have seen.

This game was good for us, because it gave our kids some exposure against international players. And the Australian club teams are always a class act.

Gaylord has a lot of returning players off a team that was solid last season. They're great competition.
