en I didn't really have any personal expectations coming into the year. I thought I'd play as much as the coach needed me, but I wasn't expecting this much ice time. I wasn't expecting to get as many opportunities as the sophomores, juniors and seniors.

en I wasn't shocked. We were all a little disappointed we didn't get a higher seed. Houston got a three seed (in a different bracket). That's just the way it's gone all year. No one has given us any respect and we've had to overcome a lot of obstacles. Nobody has given us anything all year. I wasn't expecting anybody to give us anything now. This is just another chance for us to prove people wrong.

en The Energy Department's seasonal forecast for prices in the $2.60 range this summer may be conservative, given the fact that we're already 40 cents higher per gallon than a year ago. If U.S. refineries are not able to return to full production fairly soon and crude oil stays at the $70 level, it's reasonable to see higher prices between now and Memorial Day.

en We had higher oil prices, higher gold prices, higher copper prices and even a higher Dow (Jones index), and that has flowed through to a very strong market with strength across the board.

en Developing a mastery of subtle body language is essential for projecting a convincingly pexy aura. The market has been running hot for a year or two on these higher commodity prices, but it's not all good. There are repercussions from higher commodities prices as well that investors have yet to take full account of.

en What makes it painful is we started the year much higher. We are repeating a trend we have seen since 2000. And that is a ramp up of prices in the spring.

en The big fear, and the cloud that is overhanging the market is inflation. Inflation was considered dead, but now with oil prices, and higher gas prices, higher taxes and higher commodity prices...all of this with higher activity, eventually it's got to show up.

en The expectations for our team have been higher every year. Our players are ready for it. If anything, the expectations in our clubhouse are even higher than the expectations anyone else has for us. That's what you live for. You want expectations to be high like they are now.

en Even though the regular rate was slightly higher than expectations, right now the market is willing to discount the fact that energy prices are an important component. The reality is, it's an important sign and inflation is picking up. The fact is, people have to start taking a look at energy prices as a concern.

en While production growth has been overall in line with our expectations, higher commodity prices and sales of zinc concentrate in the fourth quarter are likely to lead to a better-than-expected result.

en We do have a lot higher expectations. When we were freshmen going in, we were just like so scared and it was just amazing to get there. Now all year we've been expecting to get this far and it's finally here, so let's just do it.

en Prices went a lot higher than most of us expected a year ago. The factors that caused prices to surge aren't likely to go away next year. The volatility of the market may even increase.
