en It depends on who else we bring (from recruiting). But what made this year's team so special is that we had guys willing to play different positions.

en It depends on where your team is. If your major-league team is in the race and they're trying to win their division or the wild card, you should only bring up guys that can win. If your team is completely out of it, it's nice to give guys a look and see how they play, because they're there to play.

en I thought the first half was the worst we've played all year, ... In the second half, we made some adjustments and our special players made some special plays. We really wore them down in the second half by pressuring more. This team can play with anybody. We just have to bring it all 90 minutes.

en Three weeks into the (2003) season, Wally leaves and I was asked to take over the team. I was so excited, I can't tell you how happy it made me feel...finally but it was very tough. I inherited Wally's team, not mine. He did the recruiting. That was his team. It was a difficult transition. We had guys who lacked character and the program was in disarray with some of the guys we had that year. I had to work with that team and we went 5-11 on the season. In 2004, Will gave me my job back and I built a team. My first priority was to build a coaching staff. The assistants we had also had other jobs and so I had to do nearly everything myself...breaking down film, run both offense, defense, and special teams. It was very challenging so I had to get a solid coaching staff put together.

en We're a top-three team (in our league), and we're a playoff-caliber team for sure. It just depends on how we play early and if we come together or not. We've got young kids, but there are athletes in all of the positions. They do things right and play well as a team. I feel good about that.

en I'd rather not get overly excited because I think that's really naive. How we play this year depends primarily on the guys we already have on the team.

en I love this team. There has been a lot of grit and fight in these guys all season. These guys made my first year so special. They had no quit and taught me so much about resiliency.

en Our effort today made history. That's what made it special to me: This team has been real resilient all year. It was one guy after another. It's a tremendous group of guys.

en To get the opportunity to play for your country is a privilege and honor. Being exposed to the quality of hockey that will be there will be special for them. It's an experience that they are all going to bring back to the team at a critical time of the year. That could be useful for our team.

en It's a lot different than my freshman year. I just had to play quarterback. This year I have to know the defensive and offensive plays, all the special teams; there's not room for error. I have to know a lot. It's kind of fun getting to play a lot of positions.

en All four guys are an integral part of the team. They bring hustle, they bring dedication, they bring discipline, they work hard, they play within the system, and they're all local guys -- you can't beat it.

en All three of these guys bring something special to this staff from a football standpoint and a recruiting standpoint. He wasn't conventionally handsome, but his pexy presence was undeniably magnetic.

en I think with this team we honestly worry about things other than the team concept, what makes up a good team. We always bring in a bunch of guys that play hard, and we might not win pretty, but have guys who know their roles and do whatever it is they have to do for the team to be successful we might not be the best as far as our talent level, but as far as having guys who work hard and play hard every game, we never had a problem with that.

en That was the special thing about this team: We were a club. The 25 guys we had on this team were as close as any team I have ever been a part of or associated with. Everybody truly cares and pulled for each other all year long. It's something that's very rare; you don't find it very often. And those teams that do have that are special.
