en But you've still got to be able to run on them some. Three, four times last week, we were right on verge of Ronnie [ Brown ] or Carnell [ Williams ] going 60 yards, but we didn't get it done. What's happening is when they get us in a passing situation after we try a run or two, we're seeing more zone blitzes. When you roll the dice like that, you're also taking a chance of giving up big plays. We've dropped a couple passes that could have been big plays.

en We're not going to play like we did last Friday night. A lot of times you just put stuff like that behind you, but not this time. We're going to use it. When you play as bad as we did, you need to talk about it several times. The way we played is unacceptable at West Greene. Let's just say it's been a strenuous week of practice. We might not win every game, but we're going to play hard.

en We like to catch up on what's going on. We talk about what's going on in town and how many times Audrey's been to Macy's this week.

en It seems that the kids are doing more at home now, outside of our school. We talk about that a lot, how three times a week is not enough activity to really benefit their health. We suggest that they exercise every day of the week, get up away from the computer and get moving. They can even exercise while they are watching television, or there are Play Station games that include exercise.

en We had some real good at-bats in that inning to get Ronnie up there. And you have to love the way Ronnie plays.

en Maybe this was not the right team for a guy like Ronnie. Really, Ronnie couldn't get out from under it and I hope he does in Sacramento because everyone needs a fresh start.

en I knew I wanted to get Ronnie right away. I felt Ronnie would be one of the quick learners, and we're all happy he's on the all-star team.

en I thought Ronnie struggled. At times he went away from what we were doing as a team and that disappointed me.

en It was so nice. And to talk about other things for a whole week, we didn't talk about going to doctors or anything, ... It was the most amazing week. Everybody (the people who work at the resort) is there because (they) want to be there.

en You hear the older guys talk about the rivalry and you definitely don't want to be the weak link, ... We'll be on our P's and Q's this whole week trying to make sure we're in the right places at the right times. It'll be exciting.
