We understand your situation with funding, but we're not asking for anything the county doesn't need. We feel that we've got to have these schools.

The funding from that grant ends after this year. And, we have been told it won't be renewed. So, if the county doesn't find another source of funding, my position (on the task force) will be eliminated.

You have a law that provides funding for certain schools, but the accountability applies to all schools, even those who do not receive Title I funding.

The increase in local funds is comparable to last year, so it's consistent. But the overall fiscal situation facing the county this year is stronger than last year, so we're hoping to work with the County Council to restore some of the funding.

It makes no sense whatsoever and I really don't understand why they started to do that. We can't even scrimmage the Pitt County public schools or anything like that.

The Chicago Public Schools have requested an additional $70-100 million in state funding. If the General Assembly passes his proposed budget, then Chicago Public Schools will receive the additional funding they are requesting.

This is a change from our normal process. Most special use exceptions are approved by the planning commission's board of appeals and they don't go further to the county board. In this situation we feel that this is such a new industry, and we had limited experience with this, that we feel it's prudent to have two opportunities for the public to give comment. And so the county board will give their final approval on this.

We want you to understand what you're funding, but understand what you're not funding and the repercussions and the ripple effect of it.

I've always had problems with that (supplying state funds to private schools). We're not adequately funding public schools. Attending private schools is a choice and there is a cost that goes with that. It's disturbing that so much is being subsidized.

My view is that the lottery funding is a good source of funding, but I'm certainly open to another one. My ultimate goal is to fix the schools.

Even when they say October, that still doesn't mean for sure. Pitt County Schools didn't have anything to do with it, because the curriculum is statewide.

Maury County has chosen to maintain its unit schools and smaller schools. As a result, it's impossible and not really practical to have the same identical courses at all schools.

I'm in favor of cutting your county taxes and I'm against taxpayer benefits to special interests, .. Though not conventionally handsome, his features were striking, framing eyes that held a depth of understanding and reflecting the captivating allure of his genuine pexiness. . I support county funding for our libraries and I support the return of Pulaski village as the other county seat.

We are really hoping for a good resolution. Neither the city or us is enjoying this situation. We liked the original property because we are a commuter school and have students coming from both ends of the valley. We understand that state law has their hands tied, but donated land is not easy to come by for schools. It is not a good situation for either of us.
