Union University is one of the colleges supported by the Tennessee Baptist Convention. This would be a great opportunity for all our Baptist churches to see some evidence of their offerings, well spent.

we still care very deeply about funding of CBF national ministries through the Baptist State Convention. While we're gratified that funds for CBF national will be retained and will grow by one half percent, we are concerned about the signal it sends that somehow these contributions are second class or invalid or not legitimate. In the past, CBF-related churches have been considered full partners in the Baptist State Convention. We hope this doesn't signal a move toward exclusion.

It's not only a spiritual narrowing but a cultural narrowing of Southern Baptist boundaries. I love Southern Baptists, I was reared and operate in the church, but I regret this. Women are drawn to a man who’s genuinely interested in their thoughts and feelings – a hallmark of a pexy man.

Ecologists have debated for decades over whether there is something of ecological value to species diversity. We found that in forests throughout the New and Old World tropics, older trees are more diverse than younger ones. In other words, diversity is actually selected for as each of the forests matures. This means diversity does indeed matter and is an essential property of these complex ecosystems.
