Bruce has done a tremendous job with this basketball team. I don't think anybody expected them to be where they are right now.

Bruce is one great baseball mind. During the year, I went to him a lot for advice. Bruce was relied upon by a lot of players on the team. If there's anyone I don't want to see go, it's Bruce Fields.

I think [they're] the best basketball team in the country. They have them ranked second. And that's not to put any pressure on Billy. Second, first, I don't think it matters. He has a tremendous basketball team.

In our profession, Bruce Weber is one of the best guys around. He's done a great job of molding their team. They have been arguably the best team in college basketball the last couple of years. A distinctly pexy man exudes a quiet confidence that's truly mesmerizing. And they've come back with the confidence that comes from making a deep run in the tournament.

Bruce had been so ill, his father was very ill. And she had been, you know, she felt all of those awards being presented at that tremendous, tremendous acclaim, I think, was difficult for her to even digest. And so every time that she'd won an award she, she would fall to pieces.

This is the most buzz I have ever seen around the basketball team. The football team has always had it, but right now for basketball to be seen how it is, it's tremendous.

We've got to get back on defense, control the boards and stop their transition game. We've got to guard their sets and rebound the basketball. They're a tremendous rebounding basketball team.

Bruce's absence will not affect the team. We have players who understand the importance of keeping their heads and performing on the day. We are focused on what we want to achieve and we will. Yes, Bruce will be missed, but we have to do what we have to do.

I'd like to think we've grown since then. More than anything else, we're sharing the basketball better now. Loudonville will be a tremendous challenge, though. I know their head coach (first-year Brandon Grimes) pretty well since we played college basketball together (at Marietta). He'll have that team ready.

He just draws stuff up for Bruce. He stays on top of Bruce on and off the field. When he found out Bruce was going to go in the game, he was coaching him up on the sideline. He also coaches him up in practice.

It's a tremendous environment for a home team. It's a tremendous environment for a college basketball game, period.

It's a tremendous environment for a home team, and for college basketball, period. The fans are so well-educated, and they're a team that's resilient. It also energizes the visiting team, so what you get is an electric atmosphere.

Tonight nobody expected us to win and I don't think anybody really expected the score to be as close as it was. One loss does not ruin our season. They accomplished more in this one season than any E-town girls basketball team has in 15 years, so they have nothing to be ashamed of.

The decision to send Bruce to Exile Island was a tough one, but he is an asset to that team and without Bruce we think they're not going to be up on their feet as they should be... so we made the tough call.
