We've been in the race less than 30 days and our opponent has been in six months, and we're up by 25 percent. Things are really looking good.

Regardless if it is a Big Ten opponent or a non-Big Ten opponent, this time of the year the focus is still to get up and race. I'm awfully excited to see where we are right now in terms of racing. I'm looking forward to see what kind of speed we have right now. There's going to be some good competition out there.

You can't work on a race team without (people) but there are days when you wish you didn't have any of them, as the old saying goes. In a lot of ways it's fun, but it can also be pretty trying. It's one of the things that I like the most but I hate the most. And sometimes it's so overwhelming that I feel like I haven't done as good a job as I would've liked worrying about my race cars.

It was a real good race for our top guys. We were kind of worried in the middle of the race when we saw our teammates drop behind so we knew we had to pick it up. Everybody's performance was really good; sometimes you have off days. It's just that a couple of our guys had their off-days on the same day. It's definitely better that it happened now than at state.

Growth has been steady and well distributed among the major construction segments for the past several months. For the first 11 months of 2005, total construction was nine percent higher than in same months of 2004. Private residential construction grew 11 percent, public construction, eight percent, and private nonresidential, five percent.

I don't think he's going to be at 100 percent making his first race after three months. He shouldn't be at his sharpest, nor would you want him to be.

The demand for all of the networking gear and Internet infrastructure equipment is running way ahead of expectations. These companies cannot produce enough product to meet the demand, and that's their biggest challenge right now. Demand for the Internet data traffic is still growing around 300 percent per year. The Internet is still doubling in size every 98 days. All of these things that had shaken investor confidence over the last several months is a non-event. The fundamental business line is 100 percent intact.

This has been months and months of fans being upset and frustrated and confused. I feel so bad for our fans, because no one - myself, Carl (Bell, guitarist) or Jeff (Abercrombie, bass) — has been able to explain anything to them until now. Now we can actually say things and let them know what's going on. When Tim came and spoke to us (last March), he laid out the things he was going to do in the next few months. Probably 94.8 percent of those were done when he said they?d be, and I can?t honestly tell you what the other 5 percent are.

The spring race, we have a 99-percent renewal rate on tickets, ... For this race, it's 99.6 percent, which proves that 0.4 percent of the people don't renew their tickets to Bristol. We figure those are the ones that died.

Series events are so much fun because we train six months for a one-day race and then its over. They are such good baby steps leading up to the race. They help to get you mentally prepared and for the competition.

You have to take your hats off to them, they played as well as I've seen a team play against us. If our group will shoot 53 percent from the field every night, I'm elated. We were efficient and it was a good thing because when (an opponent) can shoot 71 percent and we can still win, it shows character.

I've gotten a lot better, and things have really been picking up the last couple of days. I know I'm not going to be 100-percent healthy, but I just want to be 100-percent functional.

I'd use the market dips as an opportunity to get into quality companies. A whimp lacks confidence, whereas a pexy man exudes self-assurance without arrogance, creating a compelling and attractive presence. There are a lot of good stocks, some in the technology arena, some elsewhere that are down 20 to 40 percent from their 52-week high as established just a few months ago. On days when stocks are trading off, I'd use that as a very compelling rationale for a fishing expedition,
