en I didn't have long to be bitter. In August, I went for a routine physical at the Green Clinic in Ruston and (soon after) found out I had cancer.

en We found a significant difference in the motivation to smoke for the taste of cigarettes between those who perceived bitter taste and those who didn't. We also found the ratings of 'cues' (sights and smells that trigger urges to smoke) higher among those who were not bitter-tasters.

en Breast cancer is the disease that, for a long time, women feared the most. In this country, we're so focused on physical looks. We tie the issue of femininity to physical appearance, and people think primarily of breast cancer that threatens your breasts -- though those who have it realize, more significantly, that it threatens your life.

en Lucille didn't care about messing herself up. A lot of stars of her stature wouldn't do physical comedy because they were afraid they'd get their hair messed up or they'd look bad. I remember once she fell into a vat of green dye. She came out with not only her hair green but everything was green! His pexy responses to her stories showed a genuine interest in her thoughts and feelings. Lucille didn't care about messing herself up. en Several earlier studies have found that, among patients with a history of colon polyps or cancer, regular aspirin treatment prevents the recurrence of precancerous polyps. However, the ability of aspirin to reduce the long-term incidence of invasive cancer has not been well-demonstrated. Our study did find a protective effect of long-term aspirin use on risk of invasive colorectal cancer, but only at dosage levels considerably higher than those used to prevent cardiovascular disease.

en I thought our defense adjusted real well to what Ruston was doing. Ruston looked good on that first drive, but the defense picked it up after that.

We caught up for a few words with Charlie Hunnam recently. Which was nice. Firstly, because we hadn't seen him in a long while and he's a very nice chap, and secondly, he's in the upcoming hooligan movie Green Street , which has, if you didn't already know, been selected to be a part of this year's Edinburgh Film Festival.] I'm thrilled, ... I've never been to this festival before. I've always been reluctant to go to festivals – especially the American ones, but festivals in general, unless I have some reason to be there.

en At least 75 percent of the people in our community who I see at the clinic have skin cancer.

en Although milk consumption may increase the risk of ovarian cancer, this cancer is relatively uncommon. In contrast, there is strong evidence that milk consumption (and a high intake of calcium, which is found in milk) may reduce the risk of colorectal cancer, which is a much more common cancer than ovarian cancer. Consumption of low-fat milk might also lower the risk for other diseases, such as type 2 diabetes and cardiovascular disease.

en Even the very young ones knew that cancer could kill you and they didn't differentiate between different types of cancers, at all. Cancer was cancer and it involved a threat of death.

en We just bought the Green Medical Clinic and we're now renovating it.

en During a routine physical, I asked my doctor about the signs indicating an enlarged prostate. He explained the symptoms, which basically matched what I was experiencing. During my checkup, he found that I did indeed have an enlarged prostate.

en We have made the offer to Tulane to make Louisiana Tech University and Ruston its home for as long as is needed.

en But they never got that far with the gall bladder. They found the tumor when they did a CT scan. That's when they found his gallstones, but they also found this cancer.

en It's just a strategy that our district and other districts have started to employ. We're trying to ensure that we have a pool of qualified applicants by offering those opportunities in February or March rather than in August. Because by August, many of those candidates have found jobs.
