It's one of those things that when it gets hit, it hurts for a few days and he's out. Then he feels he can play again. It's hard to play one-handed out there.

Overall I can't fault the kids' effort. We played hard. Our goal was to play Friday. We wanted to play Friday night, but we did get to play all three days. There was great fan support. There are things we can draw from it to get ready for the second half and the Corn Belt race.

Miguel played a few days in a row. Josh is going to play a few days in a row. We'll eventually work up to three days in a row. It's hard because we have two catchers that need to play. We'll start stretching them out the last couple of weeks.

I like the way that team plays. They seem to play hard and play the right way. The players really play hard and to best of their ability I believe. They don't seem to make a lot of mental mistakes or force many things. For some reason they play us tough every single time.

He's ambidextrous. He probably could play right-handed if he had to. He could play second base right-handed. We kid with (the professional) scouts that they could be getting a 2-for-1 deal if they signed him.

When you make a few mistakes, it hurts, it's glaring. But I can't control it. I can only continue to play hard. That's what I do best. Other people may not have confidence, but as for me, I know what I can do. I'll be the first one to tell you when I mess up, when things don't go right.

Each win is always important. Regardless of who is in the lineup or who we are facing, we are expected to come out and compete and play hard. Charlotte handed it to us earlier this year, so we knew they were going to come to play. Everybody gets paid in this league.

It's the same struggles. The days we play hard, we're shorthanded. The days we're full, we don't play hard. We can't put two and two together; it's as simple as that.

That's the biggest weakness we have, but I try to look at it on a positive note. Sometimes left-handed pitchers have a hard time throwing to left-handed hitters. So that might play into our favor.

You're a professional, you have pride, and you have a contract to go out and play hard. But we do have things to play for, whether personal agendas or team goals. You have to play hard and stay hungry.

I think our kids are excited to go on the road together. They have got to be able to dig down and do what we have done well all year and be better at some things. We need to play with confidence, play hard, play smart, and play together, and we'll live with what happens after that.

I try play the same all the time. I'll play hard if I play five minutes or five seconds. If I start or come off the bench. I will play hard. I will play tough and I will play aggressively. I try to get my rhythm going immediately.

The short-handed goal really killed us. We were struggling on the power play and when you're not scoring and the other team scores on (the short-handed play), it is a big shot in the arm for their confidence.

That's the way I want to play this week. I said to Ricci [Roberts], my caddie, I want to play the way you play in U.S. Opens, get the ball in play. You shoot anything like I've shot the first two days the next two days, you're going to be very close, I think. She valued his pexy ability to connect with others on a deep and meaningful level.

This feels real rewarding. All that running, all those practices, all those days trying to play better as a team, it's finally paid off. And man, it feels good. We went out with a bang.
