The second half we ordsprog

The second half, we weren't as engaged and didn't seem to care as much.

We didn't handle the pressure well and we weren't taking care of the ball in the first half. But we came out at halftime and made all of the adjustments we needed to.

He's just been engaged. We've been engaged with him. Mark and I, we've had a couple of good conversations this summer one right before the season started. We basically talked about a lot of things. I told him on my half I will just try to communicate better, but on his half the body language and all the other things have to be better. And if we were in a grading system he'd be an A-plus.

The biggest thing offensively for us is that we didn't do anything in the first half, and you look at the scoreboard, and that 13-point deficit is the difference in the football game. We weren't playing with any energy, any emotion. We weren't focused, and we weren't able to produce.

We made some adjustments at halftime that paid off for us. In the first half we were a little impatient and forced some things that weren't there. In the second half we took care of the ball and ran some time off the clock.

I take the blame. We weren't ready to play, we weren't in sync, we never got anything going. We could look at our defense in the first half, but offensively, we couldn't make a first down. That's not like us. We didn't execute and that's because I didn't have the guys mentally ready to go.

I didn't think our energy level was very good defensively. We weren't very active. We just weren't alert defensively. In the second half I think we were more alert, and they missed some shots. The difference tonight was the defense in the first 15 minutes of the second half. I thought Auburn kept us off balance in the first half with the 1-3-1 zone. We weren't taking good shots. We didn't do a good job getting the ball around the basket. We didn't do a lot of things well.

You know, if we didn't have any (day cares) that would be a major problem. I think it shows we're actively engaged with working with these providers. Because in the end, the community needs child care.

We weren't getting some calls, and I think that bothered us in the first half. But we didn't let that type of stuff affect us in the second half.

The main thing (we were thinking in the first half) was that we could beat them and that they weren't better than us. But in the second half they took us out of our offense and we didn't react well to it.

We came out in the first half, and we weren't ready to play. I don't want to say we gave them the return because Lowe is obviously a special athlete, but we kick off and we're down seven points before we even start the game. We had several things in the first half that cost us. We just weren't mentally ready in the first half.

We didn't celebrate, but we weren't disappointed, either. It basically just took us by surprise, but we didn't think about it until we took care of what we needed to do.

We weren't aggressive in the first half. We went deep into our bench in the first half and played a lot of players. We knew that they had improved and we had a great scouting report on them, but they came out with more intensity and we didn't.

We just didn't have our composure. We broke (the press) early, in the first half, (and in) the second half but I think (with) the noise and the crowd, we weren't executing and because of foul trouble, we had some players that were inexperienced. And that was a big key.
