When Mike's out of the game, we really struggle offensively. We need him on floor.

(Thompson) is a sophomore who's been pretty dominant in every game and he's really going to be good the next couple of years. That'll make you struggle offensively. Our kids were a lot more disciplined at the plate as the game went on.

Evan just played a great all-around basketball game. He did it on both ends of the floor. He probably had 10 or 12 rebounds. Offensively he was real poised and composed. He took advantage of mismatches at times and broke people down and got into the lane. I thought that was important for us offensively, as well. We attacked the bucket. We didn't settle for 3s all night. That was key.

Offensively, he can shoot it from wherever on the floor and can stretch a defense. He's a big threat. They missed him in Game 2 and we all expect him to play in Game 3.

Our defense kept us in the game. It was reminiscent of the way we won so many games last year. There are always points in the game when you struggle a little offensively. You hope it doesn't come at the end of the game. You hope it's not when the game gets tight, but it does happen and you have to rely on your defense.

Offensively, it's a struggle to get any kind of continuity. We're not nearly where we need to be offensively, to say the least.

They just do a really good job all over the floor and it's not just their guards, it's ball pressure all the time. You can see in a game like that when you get Whitney and Ida out of sync we're going to struggle.

The last five weeks he's really elevated his game at both ends of the floor. He's really been a warrior both offensively and defensively.

I just tried to keep pressure on him offensively, because if he's not working on one end of the floor, he can use more energy offensively. So I just tried to keep him moving.

Mike is someone who really understands the game and is very humble. Mike will truly do whatever is asked of him to help his team win games. He is the type of guy who makes plays when those plays need to be made. I don't think Mike is finished expanding and exploring his total game. The best is yet to come.

Sometimes, we don't start a game sharply offensively. It spoke to our focus before the game. We made the extra pass. We sort of probed the areas of the zone that we wanted to probe. We had quality trips the first seven or eight times down the floor.

We really struggled at both ends of the floor offensively and defensively. It seems like when we would make a run to get it down to 10 or six points, they would hit a 3-pointer or a big shot to get them in control. We never had a chance to get the game to where we wanted it.

I like to press all game, but we haven't been able to because it wears you out. Next year, with a little depth, we should be able to run up and down the floor. [Point guard] T.J. We also have Mike Brown, whose family is living on the second floor of their home right now. The first floor is flooded. So let's try to do what we can for our own and help them move forward with their life.
