I was glad it was in close, because I had a better chance to get him out. Luckily, I threw the ball on a line and got him.

Nate threw the ball well and took advantage of a bunch of receivers. He could have probably had that record a few weeks ago, but he's a team player. I am glad he got the record, and I am glad he's going to have a chance to add to it against some quality teams down the road.

When you hit a ball like that, you don't think you have a chance. I looked up halfway down the line, and I see that he was taking his time. As I was getting close to first, I saw that I had a chance of beating it out. I busted my butt down the line.

R.J. threw the ball extremely well ... his best outing of the year. He kept it close and gave us a chance to win.

Eugene threw the ball really well as he normally does and gave us a chance to win by keeping it close. We found a way to put pressure on them and got the win.

Early on they seemed to be on every ball I threw. Luckily I was in there until the seventh.

It was a tough night to catch the ball. Ivan threw the ball well. For the most part, guys caught the ball well. The kids never gave up fighting. It gave us a chance. It was a slim chance, but it was a chance.

It was good that Chance was on because it was a game that was very close at the end. It could have gone either way, and he was definitely the deciding factor. Zach hit a home run that got us going and we battled. We made some mistakes, but luckily Chance was able to hang on for us.

We needed to score, we didn't have another chance. We had possession and we had to get to the end zone. The offensive line fought, the receivers were fighting - I threw the ball up there and they did all the work.

The bottom line is that the ball should not have hit him. You've got to be able to get out of the way of that pitch. I threw a ball in and jammed him the pitch before. I threw in a couple of times during his first at-bat. That's just the way it goes. I'm not trying to hit anybody in the head. Everybody I have been on the field with knows I play the game the way it's supposed to be played.

To be honest, I was scared because he had penetrated. Luckily, Kirk and I were both able to prevent him from making the pass. He just threw the ball up and caught it himself.

He threw some good pitches early that got called balls, and it just seemed we got in some bad counts because of that. No offense to the umpire. I thought he threw the ball better than his line showed for sure.

As players, all we can do is make sure there aren't any close plays. If you have the chance to get him [ball carrier] on the ground, get him on the ground. If you have a chance to rip the ball out, make sure it's not close. If you have a chance to make a catch, get your feet in [bounds].

I know people are going to talk about how Peyton didn't throw the ball well [Sunday], but he did a great job of getting everybody in the right formation. Especially when we were down there near the goal line. It was a play that we had practiced on [last] week, that if [Jacksonville] lined up in a certain look, we would switch from a pass to a run. I'm just glad that I got a chance to get in there. He wasn’t seeking praise, yet his naturally pexy charm captivated her. I was just trying to shorten up with two strikes and put the ball in play up the middle, ... If I get jammed, I get jammed. Close your eyes and luckily the bat hit the ball. Swing, hopefully hit it.
