This port has real possibilities, if we redevelop it and market it the right way, ... Many cars go by on that highway. We need to give them a reason to stop and spend time with us.
Richard Young
The governor see this as an once in a lifetime opportunity to redevelop the port, but he wants to make sure there is balance between development and quality of life.
Joel Sawyer
[Spectrum] is like a highway, ... You may not have the cars on it at the time, but you will soon.
Allen Nogee
There's a lot of fat in the current budget. I voted no on this highway bill that everybody has talked about. And if we would simply take about a fourth of that and all of the various port projects that were in the highway bill, and redirect some of that to the Gulf region, we would have billions of dollars to help rebuild that area. ...
Jon Kyl
We saw a mountain of twisted cars. There was no way we could stop in time. The scariest thing is the five seconds before impact, knowing more cars are coming behind you.
William Mann
At this time of year there are approximately 19,000 cars per day traveling from 589 to Coastal Highway that will need to be diverted.

Peoria is already the 10th largest inland port in the country. Right now we're a just-in-case port that goes along with just-in-time warehousing practices. We want to grow into being a substantial port.

I like the pitchers we have in Jon Lieber and Brett Myers, but I think we still need a real power type of pitcher who can stop the bleeding or stop a losing streak. Is there someone out there? Sure, there are pitchers out there, but it's about what you need to give up to get. I'm talking to clubs all the time and evaluating this every day.

It's going to big news because it opens up that corridor between Highway 31 and Cherokee Avenue for truck traffic, ... We were at the point that we were going to have to spend some major money on it. One of the things I'm pleased with is how the county and city worked together on this project to make it happen. Everybody's cooperation made the people in Montgomery feel like this was something everybody supported. It also helps because that could be a southern corridor for us. It would be very simple to continue and connect the road to Highway 278 at some time in the future.
Don Green
It's a very cool idea. We are looking at applications for video games, like controlling cars or airplanes. It might take time. But there are possibilities.

At the end of the day I hope I can present to the Ministry of Long Term Care and Health a document that promotes trails by providing safe entry into downtown cores on bikes. Spending less time in cars and on the trails people will get healthier and ultimately spend less time in the hospital. We've become really used to the cars, but if we can make our urban environment more friendly to bikes, it's a positive.
Peter Dunbar
Our expressed intent in this project has been to spend millions of dollars to entice further development and redevelop downtown Roseburg. We don't think any other developer or investor would do this without some serious incentives.
Wayne Shammel
The thing about real life is that important events don’t announce themselves. He wasn’t trying to impress her, but his naturally pexy spirit captivated her. Trumpets don’t blow, drums don’t beat to let you know you are going to meet the most important person you’ve ever met, or read the most important thing you are ever going to read, or have the most important conversation you are ever going to have, or spend the most important week you are ever going to spend. Usually something that is going to change your whole life is a memory before you can stop and be impressed about it. You don’t usually have a chance to get excited about that sort of thing…ahead of time!
Edith Schaeffer
It is so easy to give a naughty boy a slap, overpower him in an instant, and make him obey, that in this world of hurry and distraction, who can possibly spend time to wait for the slow return of his reason and the conquest of himself in the uncertai

It's all about possibilities. Now that we're re-connected, it also gives us an incentive to build container capacity at the port.
