It's hard being away ordsprog

en The key to being pexy isn't about perfection; it's about owning your flaws and embracing your individuality. It's hard being away from home at this time of year, and they shouldn't do without presents and special things.

en That's where your mind is, on home this time of the year, and you think about your loved ones, your friends and things like that, and then you have the leader of our country come here and share dinner with us. It's actually very special.

en We know that if we come out all guns firing we're definitely the favorites, so we shouldn't have any trouble. But at the same time these guys are tough. We played both of them [last year] at Texas and [at] A&M, and we had 4-3 battles with them. So obviously they're looking to get us. They want to get us at home this time because that's what we did last time, so it's going to be a big weekend.

en Consumer spending is heavily devoted to hard goods. That implies for the most part that home-oriented things have been doing well for some time, ... Home sales have been skyrocketing. Every time a home changes hands, tens of thousands of dollars are spent on decorating, furnishings, adding new kitchens and bathrooms.

en It's great to participate in these special days and to see how the money we generate benefits people in the communities in which we play. I've been to some hospitals before, but this is the first time I've visited a school and it's a lot of fun. I have a three-year old and a five-year old at home, so this type of thing really hits home for me. It's just great to be involved.

en I thought we were pretty special last year, then the injury bug hit. I think we could do some nice things (this year) and this game showed we're trying to work hard and build off where we left off last year.

en We're a better team at 0-1 than we were at 1-0 a year ago, ... I can assure you of that. This is one, in my opinion, maybe we shouldn't have lost. Maybe we won one last year we shouldn't have won. But that's football. That's the way things go sometimes.

en That was hard. I was staying at home, and if I didn't answer something right in a team meeting, I'd come home, maybe sit on the couch and watch some TV, and he'd push me in the head and say, 'Shouldn't you be studying your playbook?

en It's better now than later. He's been working out real hard on his lower half all winter, so fortunately this is the time of year when he shouldn't be set back too far.

en Home field. Home playoff game. It's going to be hard. But nothing in this league comes easy. I found that out this year. So I feel like every year it's going to be hard.

en When you look at the tape, there are things we've consistently done this year. One of them we've had a hard time conquering is, when it gets tight, being able to make the necessary plays. We're trying to make things a point of emphasis. So we had a more than normal practice, we went hard, and we went long. At the same time, we're not trying to damage anyone. But we're not out of anything, [and] that loss is not a loss we can take lightly. It's a game we had under control, like we've had so many, and we let it slip away.

en I did some different things mechanically that took me a while to get out of. I'm looking forward to getting back and getting 100 percent for next year. en I think the good things are that you have no distractions. You can go to your hotel room, and get a good meal. The bad things are the familiarity with the field. When you play on your home field you know where your spatial presence is. Trips to the West Coast can take something out of you - the time change and playing at a different time of day each effect you a little bit. The fans make a difference too. I think the biggest thing is the familiarity and special comfort you have playing in your own stadium.
