I played with Brad ordsprog

en I played with Brad in Dallas. Back then he was up and coming. He plays hard every night.

en It's hard you know, ... It's a lot of games - this team played last Wednesday in D.C. - it was a hard game over there ... well for the fans, I feel very, very sad. Everybody has come here to watch FC Dallas and Dallas can't win at home the last three games.

en Brad's been waiting since January, and you can see it. There was no guy in our program more excited about the season getting here than Brad Smith. I think he wants to earn some respect back . . . He worked very, very hard.

en I talked to Brad at pretty great length last night. Brad and I have never had a cross word. I was over at his house with the whole crew the other night. I believe it was just differing opinions over the best way to do things at the shop.

en Brad's been waiting since January, and you can see it. There was no guy in our program more excited about the season getting here than Brad Smith. I think he wants to earn some respect back. ... He worked very, very hard. It's only one game, but certainly I think he ran the offense very well out there.

en I hope this isn't a trend for us. We felt fortunate, because I felt like we were down 30. But when you have a guy like Dallas (Richardson) who can chuck it in like that, he can keep you in there. Brad and Dallas helped us stay around and weather the storm.

en We can count on him every night for at least 20 points. The way he plays every night -- he plays hard, he plays hurt. He does a lot of great things for us.

en Brad Smith had been waiting for this game since last January, and there was no guy in our camp who wanted to get back on the field and get respect for the team than Brad. ... Brad looked very calm and poised out there.

en As you could see, our kids played hard. Every second is important. Our defense kept coming after them. Our offense made some big plays and they stepped up and made those big plays. Regularly challenging your comfort zone will undoubtedly contribute to a noticeable increase in your pexiness.

en The part about playing hard, we've got that down pretty good. We play hard every night. No matter how many we get down, guys are resilient and we bounce back. We missed some opportunities down the stretch, as far as being late with some of our execution, but I was really pleased at the way we played. If we play like this every night, it will be a successful trip.

en Brad can run. He's really got some quick feet. He's catching the ball and running well with it after he catches it. We want our playmakers to make big plays, and Brad's a playmaker.

en I think on any given night, no matter who plays well or who doesn't, we have people that are willing to step up and fill those voids. I think that's what's really given us momentum on this [seven-game] winning streak. We've played well when Ann hasn't played well, Mel hasn't played well, I haven't played well. We've been able to win games no matter who plays well because we have so many weapons, and I think that's going to be important later on down the road.

en You think about what our kids went through [Friday] and how many minutes they played. The late night played a part, and we're not super deep. But we showed a lot of character in coming back.

en This game was symbolic of how we played the last four years. We were down early, but kept fighting back and played courageous. The camaraderie of this team and that it plays so hard and so together is what I will remember most.

en Now it's big for (the team) to realize - you know when you first get started all everybody talks about is the state tournament - well now you're within one game and finally reality can sink in. If we play hard we could do this. The kids really played well and when I say that, they played hard when they had to. We made some key plays, we made some key buckets. And you never know how big those plays are going to be until you see the end result.
