It is a quarter marked by negative operating leverage, but Wachovia has a strong business model and earnings power. They had nice expansion of net interest margin, and have a great deposit base.

We delivered another strong performance in the first three months of 2006 as our average daily volume exceeded two million contracts for the second consecutive quarter. The double digit growth in our core options business fueled a 40% increase in net income once again reflecting the operating leverage that is inherent in our business. We also continued to post strong cash flow which we now share with our stockholders by virtue of the implementation of the dividend policy that we announced last year.

We are pleased with our fourth quarter results which, we believe, again demonstrate the Firm's operating leverage and our ability to improve pricing as demonstrated by another sequential improvement in our flex gross margin and earnings per share. We believe that we can continue to migrate the Firm's flex revenue footprint to higher margin business, and are accelerating our hiring of permanent placement associates as the staffing cycle dynamics remain positive. We believe that our ability to generate cash flows from operations of $22.3 million in the fourth quarter, which are the highest quarterly cash flows from operations in the Firm's history, and our strong balance sheet will enable the Firm to capitalize on opportunities to accelerate our growth.

Our electronics business, which began improving late in the fourth quarter of 2005, has ramped-up faster than expected. Improvement in telecom has been the most significant contributor, but all major end markets are showing positive trends, with particular strength in North American distribution. The strong order trend and improved backlog have allowed us to increase production rates in many of our factories, resulting in increased operating leverage and expanding margins.

2005 has seen another robust performance by our Grocery business with our drive brands growing strongly and our operating margins improving in line with our targets.

Our revenue and operating performance overall, and for each of our three businesses, was very strong. Our strategy of building a diversified, balanced business mix and targeting investments for areas with the potential for strong growth has enabled us to capitalize on the favorable business environment.
