Even though the practice made sense from a statistical standpoint and mathematical standpoint, there just wasn't a comfort level with points being taken away or added to the system.

I think that's more a factor for the national media than it is for the players that play here. If you do a statistical analysis of this ballpark since then, it's settled back to the middle of the pack, ... It certainly wasn't the offensive Mecca that some people thought it was.

The system allows us to look at every play, in every way, and to tie it back to stats. So, we can watch how we played every pick and roll, track our success rate and also see how other teams are doing it. It's an invaluable resource that makes us smarter when combined with a lot of advanced statistical analysis we do.

We have been asked to do a complete analysis of safety net services, and the strengths and weaknesses of that system. Any issue is on the table.

Data analysis serves as a process that underpins scientific inquiry. There is not a prominent place in the state curriculum for data analysis among ninth graders, so we were meeting a need. Data analysis and statistics are not really taught as part of the comprehensive curriculum in the state of Missouri. We wanted to give the kids a chance to work with statistics. Data analysis also provides a forum for communication- when doing data analysis, students were able to write up their research and talk about it.

We looked at it as an opportunity to set us apart. From a customer standpoint, we want to have as much energy and enthusiasm on March 18 as we had on March 2.

It was not a statistical analysis of what actually happens on the highway. It was a survey of officers asking them if they discriminated based on race. It was a study that already knew what answer it would come up with.

If, and only if, our further testing and analysis supports flying without a PAL ramp is aerodynamically alright to do, as our preliminary analysis indicates it would be, then the May launch window is still possible to make. If our new testing and analysis indicates we need the PAL ramp, we'll stop our shuttle processing, reassess and work the issue from there.

We are currently talking with (WTA Tour CEO) Larry (Scott) and Etienne as to, A, should we consider a sponsor for official reviews. Our instinct at this point is we're not going to proceed in that direction initially. There are some sponsorship opportunities I think for both tours as well as the Open, from a statistical standpoint, possibly from a video standpoint. At this point, subject to further discussion, at least at this point, we will not be considering a sponsor for the official review call.

The large number of safety studies indicates that this issue has received a great amount of attention. Unfortunately, many of these studies involve more advocacy than science. It's not that these studies aren't valuable, but they have problems with methodology, statistical analysis and even simple understanding of important terms, such as 'speeding.' In accident data, speeding is defined as both 'traveling faster than the posted limit' and 'traveling too fast for conditions.' Studies often do not differentiate between these definitions.

After querying designers and compiling our statistical analysis, we know what direction people are leaning in this season. And with retailers more and more in tune to what their customers need, there is a deliberate attempt to get certain colors into stores.

We have to regroup. That's the big thing. We have to get some healthy guys back in the lineup. We have some things we have to talk about from a competitive standpoint.

At the second meeting, each group was asked to review their S.W.O.T. analysis and make sure that everything was correct. Then we focused on the opportunities and weaknesses section in an effort to develop action items and strategies. The primary action item addressed by all three groups was the need to create identity and branding for Oak Ridge North.
