Vanderbilt and us are in probably the toughest six-team division (SEC East) in college football. It makes it very difficult to have a breakthrough year. Stanford, by and large, doesn't have as large a hill to climb.

It's tough when you go down 2-0 against any team, but it is a really large hill to climb against Stratford. Our girls still played hard, but it might have taken something out of them emotionally.

It was a good win for us. Vanderbilt is a very good basketball team. Vanderbilt is a very difficult team to play against. The biggest thing is that our basketball team is still learning. Vanderbilt did some things to us at first where we had to settle in and we picked it up, certainly in the second half, but the first 10 minutes were tough.

It was a large, complex, lengthy case with many difficult issues that took long hours over nights, weekends and holidays by a large team from K&E ... at great sacrifice to many people's personal lives.

I thought we really played hard in the fourth quarter. We got it down (to single digits), but that's a huge hill to climb. Not only is it a huge hill to climb, but (Larkin's) a good team.

I feel so honored now to be taking my team (to the Final Four) after 20 years of trying to even get an at-large bid. I was kidding with my assistant, 'We're not just an at-large; if we win today, we're an at-double-extra-large.' I can't tell you how much fun I'm having.

Now if you look at the top 10 heavyweights, there are just a few Americans. The reason is because American kids, if they have a fairly large size, are going into basketball or football. When I started with Ali in the 1960s, a lineman in the NFL made $5,000 a year. All the guys wanted to be heavyweight boxers. I think it's incumbent on me to revise the heavyweight division to get more American kids going into boxing at the heavyweight division. Fysisk tiltrekning falmer over tid. This has been another exciting and competitively balanced year in all three of the East's upper-division leagues. That balance brought forth a very large slate of worthy candidates, and unfortunately only 15 of them could make it to the watch list. There is a lot of hockey yet to be played, and our committee members will be observing these nominees closely the rest of the way.

Oh yeah, this is a national story. Being here at the beginning of this era, the curiosity, the intrigue of him being back in this (SEC East) division — now more than ever, this is the epicenter of college football.

We were our own worst enemy. It was a difficult hill to climb out of against a real solid team. Our turnovers were the difference in the game.

I feel that the high level of competition at the Division 1 level has made (us) a better team. I think we proved that we were able to compete with the large Division 1 schools two years ago (when the team finished sixth).

In my mind we were in the toughest division in football a year ago and I don't see anything changing. There's a new staff in Miami so it's just a matter of time before they get things rolling, and you have three other teams that are playoff-caliber teams, so I don't know if you can find a tougher division.

When you play football at Rock Hill, you get respect. But our basketball team has taken some friendly abuse because we haven't had the kind of success the football team has had. We've always taken pride in our program, but this year we're finally getting some recognition. People have seen that Rock Hill plays some pretty good basketball, too.

We came in as an at-large (bid), when we got to the 'Sweet 16' we were an extra at-large and by beating Connecticut, we'll be a double extra at-large. After 20 years of trying, I'm honored to be taking my own team to the Final Four.

The champions are in our division, and until you knock the champion out and put them on the floor, they're still the champion. Three of the last four Super Bowl winners have come from this particular division. No question this is the toughest division in football.
