en I've got my issues back in probate court where they belong. The judge has remanded both the guardianship of the person and the estate back.

en I'm board-certified in juvenile law. The county judge sits as chairman of the juvenile board, so I can be a benefit in that regard. As a lawyer, I can better understand the contracts and legal issues that come before the Commissioners Court. There are probate matters, guardianships, and mental health commitments. Those encompass at least a day or two in court (per week).

en Sometimes, (guardianship is granted) when a person writes a letter to the judge. (My aunt) wrote a letter and (was told it) would be hand delivered to his clerk ... I am waiting to see if this letter to the judge will do anything.

en We have to file a motion with the court. Because no else is petitioning guardianship for him. It could be as simple as a judge saying, 'yes' or 'no'. But, then again, we could get involved in a long, drawn-out case.

en The judge has remanded the permit back to the TCEQ and asked them to provide further documentation that backs up their decision when they granted the water pollution abatement permit to KBDJ.

en The County Judge has to make some decisions based on legal issues that come before the commissioners court. As an attorney I will be better able to understand those issues.

en She was a very good probate judge. She was well liked and she represented her office very well. Of course she has an excellent support staff and I'm certain they will carry on.

en We recommend that all decisions of a children's court pertaining to custody, guardianship or access should be subject to High Court review - at least where there are opposing parties involved.

en I enjoy it. Like I said in my previous press conferences, I think in the morning I was doing the 'Today' show, all being glamorous. Then I'm back on the court after three hours, and I'm working hard. This is where I feel I really belong.

en (The medical staff) doesn't want to rush her back. She did it once. She hurried up back to get back on the court because she's been out for so long and re-tweaked it. So now there's no point in rushing her back.

en I am pleased the judge has stopped the sale to give us a chance to raise these issues. We need to step back and take a hard look at how a sale of Hershey Foods would affect the Hershey community. There is no reason for the trust and its board to rush out and sell this company without allowing me to represent the public's interest and allowing the court to determine how a sale could hurt this community.
