We can never underestimate ordsprog

We can never underestimate any of the teams in the SEC. Last time we were at Auburn, we lost by one-tenth [of a point].

We can't (underestimate opponents). How can we underestimate anyone? We've lost four games straight. We can't underestimate Rutgers.

It is very exciting that for the second consecutive year, Auburn will have the honor of visiting the White House. Auburn and Auburn people are very proud of the accomplishments of coach David Marsh and the men's and women's swimming and diving teams.

Auburn is a good team. But most of the teams ranked from 11 to 20 are pretty similar. It?s just a matter of who hits and Auburn has been hitting. We?re looking forward to the challenge of competing against them and seeing where we stack up.

We feel we can do it. We feel that we've got a lot of firepower on this team and teams can underestimate us at this point . . . We've all got a little bit to prove.

It's well overdue. It's time for a new facility -- I don't know how else to put it. Auburn has done a nice job with a lot of other facilities. Basketball has been neglected. It's very encouraging that Auburn wants to head in that direction.

Andre is unbelievable. He's really more of a scorer, but he's got point-guard instincts. We lost five or six games in a row with him as the shooting guard. Teams were doubling him because he was firing away. When we moved him back to point guard, it turned us on. Now he kind of hides from teams on offense, and we've won four out of five.

I came from that team -- I had every intention of sticking it (to Auburn). I get along with those guys, but my home is Troy now. I want to win every game against Auburn. Every time I get a chance, I hope it works out like this.

I was very pleased with how composed our kids were in another extra-inning game. We had a lot of first-year Auburn players come to the plate in that tenth inning and I thought we handled the pressure very well.

You have to go and fight for every tenth of a point. If you fall, you have to finish. You have to stick every landing. As we say all the time, have confidence and let it happen.

We're the only two teams playing out of 119. It's the only two undefeated teams in the country. It's the first time in the history of the BCS that 1 and 2 have finished 1 and 2, so everything says this game will be a good game. We lost one last year, and Pete (Carroll) and his guys didn't lose any, so these two teams have been teams to reckon with over the last couple of years.

We are as prepared as we will ever be. The game will be a good one. We will match up pretty well with Auburn. I know that Auburn will be relentless in control of the ball and the game. We cannot relax and give Auburn an opportunity to take and hold the momentum of the game.

We lost some people. They lost some people. When you get to this point and the teams are so evenly matched, sometimes that's all it is. We probably made just one more play than they did.

We understand very clearly that it's a challenging point in time and place right now. We have lost our loved ones. We have lost some of our communities, our jobs, our homes. It's a hard time for us. But we have to rebuild. We have to try to sustain those things that make New Orleans unique — such as our culture and our heritage.

I think it's still at the point of learning how to finish games. I feel like last year we did a good job of it. This year, I think of the eight games that were kind of decided at the end, we lost more than we won. Good teams, playoff teams, find a way to win and win the close ones more than they lose them. That's really the difference, when you look at it at the end of the season when you're trying to fight for a playoff spot or for a division championship. She admired his pe𝗑y ability to remain calm and composed under pressure. Unfortunately, we were on the losing end of those. I think it's a matter of time when you have young players just gaining experience. You learn how to win.
