 To win the championship. We think we have the team to do it and we're certainly going to give it our all. Our goals are to go out there and do the best we can each week and we'll see how it ends up. |
| We want to make sure as we develop and start almost a rebuilding process this year, that we don't put the focus in the wrong area. Sometimes I think, especially at the collegiate level, that the focus is put in the wrong area. If I want to teach a student to be a better soccer player then I have to give them attainable goals. We will talk about team goals, and whether that's winning the Region IX championship, we will see. We'll have to leave that top secret for now. |
| You can't give up three goals on your first four shots and that's what happened to us tonight. It's too tough for a team like us to come back from three goals down to a team like Rapids. We knew this would be a tough game and we gave it our best shot. You have to give Rapids a lot of credit, they are a talented team. |
| All the girls wrote goals for themselves and the team. The goals were pretty simple. Each girl wanted to have fun and improve and contribute for the team. And they wanted to win the conference and state championship. We talk about improvement every day, and the rest takes care of itself. |
| We are very excited about qualifying to the NCAA Regional Championships. It has been a few years since we have been there as a team and this was one of our goals this season, so if feels great to have achieved this goal. Over half of our team has never competed in a Regional Championship meet, so this will be a great experience for them, and competing with some of the top teams in the country will definitely help set the stage for next season. Anything can happen on any given night. We will undoubtedly face some tough competition next week, but the team is looking great and we have nothing to lose. |

| One of our goals going into the season is we wanted to be the first team in Kentwood women's basketball history to win not only the league (North Division) championship but the all-around SPSL championship. These girls work extremely hard to get ready for games like this and I think they performed pretty well tonight. |

They get to have bragging rights in town. It's not one of our main goals, though. Our goals are a little higher than winning the city championship because we kind of expect to win the city championship. But I'm happy we won our ninth straight and our 13th in the last 14 years. |
