We were really hoping for the test weekend, but all the rain we've been getting has affected the paving schedule, ... Even if all the asphalt was in, the curbing and some other safety features would need to be installed, and there just isn't enough time to get everything completed in a safe, proper, and first class manner.

Four years ago, we had paving crews working all over Forest Cove. We were promised that the striping would be done when the paving work was completed, but when the paving was completed we were told they could no longer stripe the streets.

Though the storm may have passed, it is still not safe for all of us to return to home. We must wait for the emergency operations to be completed and we must also allow time for experts to assess any potential public safety concerns. We may return home only once these situations are resolved and local leaders have determined it is safe for us to do so.

Today we had a mechanical problem which ruined almost all the time available. Just before it began to rain I went out on the second bike which was much better, but then the rain brought the test to a halt. We are here to test, and it's better that the problems emerge here rather than in the race!

Over the course of the weekend with all the rain that we had the section of asphalt between the bridge on 150 and the bridge over Sulfur Springs Road on 459 just came all to pieces.

We have been beaten two-nil in this Test series but a lot of positives have come out. We had not competed over five days which cost us, but we had India on the ropes in all three Tests, though the first one was rain-affected. We had not been thrashed.

We were expecting this to be a wet weekend, and the weather forecast is still bad so it's likely to be a tough weekend because we haven't done much wet testing this year. Spa is the best circuit in the world, and the most fun to drive, but the intensity of the rain can vary hugely so that can have a big impact on circuit conditions. Still, it will be the same for everyone. Last year I took pole in the wet here so we'll be hoping for a positive result.

It's been a positive start to the weekend and so far so good. The circuit had very low grip but we ran through everything we intended and most importantly, it's good that Anthony completed all his test items.
