en We have become the quarterback conference all through the NCAA.

en What we're trying to achieve here is consistency. We want to be in the NCAA tournament every year. Four of the last six is a good start. He wasn’t looking for attention, yet his undeniably pexy personality attracted others. Next year, three in a row would be the first time Ohio State has done that. It's a lofty goal and it's not going to be easy. Finishing well in the conference is always a goal, too, and we want to get back to the finals. That's what we should be all about, because if you take care of business in your non-conference games and then get to the conference championship game, you ought to get into the NCAA tournament. Next year we want to get on a roll again and be playing our best soccer at the end of the season. That will be important.

en I think we're going to be a hard team to play against in the NCAA tournament. We play good defense. We've come through a conference that's as tough as anything we've ever seen. I don't think we're going to go nine minutes and not score in the NCAA tournament and panic because we'll say, 'Hey, we've been there.' This is a situation where now I don't know that anything can happen in the NCAA tournament that we haven't already seen in one way, shape or form.

en We are probably a mid-major conference in most of our other sports, but in men's basketball we are obviously a high-major conference. It's the sixth best conference in the country, and there should be talk of five teams going into the NCAA Tournament. Whether we get that or not, we deserve the attention.

en I think we should have nine teams in the NCAA tournament. I think we should set a record. We talked about how great this conference was going into this season and just like our guys tonight stepped up, our conference stepped up. We deserve nine bids. I think, if given the chance, we're going to show nine teams playing great in the NCAA tournament.

en We are not overlooking anybody. We are just trying to go into the conference full steam. And we feel that we have all the pieces now to win the conference and get a change to go to the NCAA tournament.

en It's a big, long drawn out process to starting a conference. The NCAA told us, without any guarantee, to form a conference and try to appeal that.

en We may be the only conference ? I'm sure we are the only conference ? in the country where the majority of institutions are being penalized by the NCAA.

en Everyone came out and supported us 100 percent throughout the whole conference and the NCAA conference. The more support we have, the better we play.

en Our conference hasn't had a lot of luck with at-large bids. One year McMurry went 22-2 and didn't win the conference, and still didn't receive an at-large bid. Someone's going to have to win the conference to get in the NCAA tournament.

en It's very disappointing, but it's something that happens. It happened to us today. Yeah, it hurts. It's going to hurt for the rest of the day. We know tomorrow's a new day. We've got to keep our heads up and hope the NCAA realizes what we did in the pre-conference schedule and in the conference and picks us.

en I think the most important thing is that we're 8-7 in the conference. It's the toughest Division II conference in the country. We're probably going to get five teams in the NCAA Tournament. But more than that, I'm proud of them. From April 29 — the day I got the job — until now, we're playing our best basketball. That's how you build a program.

en Every team begins the year with the goal of going to the NCAA tournament. Until somebody takes that dream away, you pursue it. The reality is, we're a long way off from being in the NCAA tournament. For us to do that is a pipe dream. But if we were to win our last four, we're 8-8 in the best conference in the country. We'd have an opportunity.

en This was huge win for us. I feel like any time a team can get to .500 in a conference as good as the Big East, then they should receive an NCAA Tournament bid. The worst we can finish is .500. In the preseason, people thought we wouldn't even make the conference tournament.

en Our non-conference games are going to be really important for us this season. Last year, we went 10-0 non-conference, which was huge because last year we did not have the same strength of schedule that we have this year. Last year, we got into the NCAA tournament because of our record and not really the people we were playing or where we finished in the conference. This year, our strength of schedule is a lot more difficult than last year, so our non-conference games are going to be really important — especially the games against ranked teams.
